I made two fanmixes for the rayK fanmix contest over at
ds_contest, where I am a mod and we are always hopeful for more members and more contestants! As I was posting my Denny/Alan fanmix, I figured I'd post these two as well. This is the first.
Fighter
Remember those five-dollar days armed with a paintbrush
And how he's soldiered on with hard work and full coffee cups
You inspired me, with your tenacity
This is an ode to a man who spent his whole life in a fight
Never getting counted out at all or ducking from our sight
The Boxer
She is the Boxer, she knows
when and where to strike
He is the Boxer, he knows,
no peaceful sleep tonight
Rush
Situation no win
Rush for a change of atmosphere
I cover the walls so I give in
Gotta get myself right out of here
Hey Driver
Sparks fly, I hit the ground running
Thumb in the air on the side of the road
Good work.. never comes easy
hey driver to the top of the world
hey driver to the top of the world
Put my life over my right shoulder with confidence
and here I come
westbound
leave the motor running because i'm on the run
Island of the Honest Man
I was picked up and then dropped off in a culture counter-clockwise turned around
Welcome to the island of the honest man
Do what you want - there is no need to impress us
Welcome to the island of the honest man
We don't believe in what the big people tell us
Wait here - stay here
When You Were Young
You sit there in your heartache
Waiting on some beautiful boy to
To save you from your old ways
You play forgiveness
Watch him now, here he come
He doesn't look a thing like Jesus
But he talks like a gentleman
Like you imagined when you were young
Helicopter
My pianos out of tune
I wish it wasn't
I wish that you were mine
I wish that my heart was stronger
My pianos out of tune
I wish it wasn't
I wish we had more time
I wish that my world was softer
And I want a helicopter
I've had this feeling before
My heart is crawling in the mud, mud, mud
Id feel much better I'm sure if I had a helicopter
Crawlings Towards the Sun
One night I fell asleep
And woke up on that sunny street
At first I thought I couldn’t
But now I see
That the shadows kept me hidden
From the light that calls my name
All the creatures stood above me
Now I’m crawling towards the sun
Let's Go to Canada
I want to be where yaks can run free,
Where Royal Mounties can arrest me.
Let's go to Canada, let's leave today,
Canada, oh, Canada, I Sil Vous Plait.
Pitter Patter, back and cover art, all MP3s, 38.17 MB Pitter Patter I made like a fairly chronological take on Ray K's life from his roots and his relationship with Stella, to his choice to go undercover, his subsequent connection with Fraser, and then the conclusion of Due South.
