Wow..this is going to be long I'm sure..just to warn ya :)
Well Tuesday..after the doctors I went w/ Lydia and Sara to Wendy's..then to Lydia's house where they highlighted my hair. Didn't turn out the best..haha but then I came home and just packed for Philly. Wednesday..just got ready to leave and stuff..and my mom, sister and I headed to the Stabosz house to pack all their stuff in our van. Hm while they did that..little Erin and I went to get Subway :) haha then I helped Erin (shes 5) write "Good Luck" and "I love you" on the car windows w/ that special paint for the girls. haha She's so cute. About 4 something..mom, Mrs. Stabosz and I left..picked up Allie, Casey and Krissy..and headed off to Philadelphia. We got to our hotel that was about 1.5 hours away from Philly around 10:30..showered and fell asleep on the floor--my bed for the next 5 nites. Thursday morning we got up..had breakfast and drove about an hour and a half to Philly. So I guess we got there like 1ish or something? and we just went around the hotel and stuff. It was huge..we were on the 21st floor..there were 23. But we got stuck w/ one bed..for 6 people. I was already told I was sleeping on the floor the whole time..I'm used to it for these Irish things..so my sister got a cot..while my mom, Mrs. Stabosz, Allie and Casey took turns sleeping 3 in the bed and 1 on the floor. Um we didn't do much Thursday nite..we might have gone to the mall. The Gallery..a mall..a 4 story mall..was attached to the hotel. That was the highlight of the whole weekend. I went there approximately 5 times..twice in one day..and I got something every single time :) haha I never even made it to the top floor ever..now that I think of it. I got two cute halter top's at the Children's Place--I fit in their tops! =O I was so shocked..haha but they are so cute. I got a shirt from Wet Seal..that has an owl on it and it says "All this..and brains too"..my mom said I needed that shirt. Later when I questioned why there was an owl on it (um I realized..well she told me..it's because owls are wise) she threatened to take the shirt back. Hahaha :x I also got..a little jacket thing and two tank tops at Old Navy. Anddd a keychain from Claire's (that my mom said I had to get) that says "Ha ha ha!...I don't get it" hahaha. Toooo true :) Ohh and I got cute cute sunglasses at New York & Company. I believe that's all I got at my 1234798 bizillion trips to the mall this weekend :) Hm k back to Thursday nite..we just went to bed early because Allie and Casey had to get up early and dance the next day. So Friday I woke up around 6:45 :\ nottt fun..and went to see Allie and Casey dance in their solo competitions. (Incase I didn't mention it..I was at the North American Irish Dancing Championships..it's basically the Nationals..but people come from Canada, England, Australia and Ireland to compete..along w/ North Americans) Soo they did their two dances..and both recalled--top 50% of the dancers are recalled to do another dance..and then they are placed. So they did their 3 dances..and we just went to the mall I think and hung around til awards around 5:30. Allie got 60th out of 100 some dancers I believe..and Casey got 6th out of 100 something dancers. Casey is the cutest girl..when they called her number for top 10 ..she just started bawling her eyes out..she cries everytime because she's always so happy! haha it was cute..umm well then my mom, Krissy and I went back to the room for the nite..cuz Krissy had to get up early to dance the next day..and Mrs. Stabosz, Allie and Casey went out to celebrate w/ some people. Saturday woke up early..7ish for Krissy's competition. She didn't do so hot...she didn't recall. But it was okay, kind of expected since it was her first national competition..the teachers say "your reward is getting to go" because you have to place high enough at the regionals to go to the nationals. We found out that Krissy ended up getting 67th out of 100..which isn't too bad..she was 17 away from recalling. I went to the mall w/ my mom and Kelsey..a junior at Hoban..her little sister dances w/ mine. Haha I found out me and her have a lot in common! We were at Old Navy..looking at shirts w/ flags on them..and we were looking at one and we're like "why is the Ohio flag on this? we're in Pennslyvania!" Then my mom said it was the Puerto Rican flag.. :x haha then Kelsey asked why they'd sell a shirt w/ their flag on it..while my mom pointed out they are US territory. Haha I knew then that Kelsey and I had to hang out more often :) Hmm and then that nite..uhh what did we do..oh yeah..haha we went shopping again. Then we walked to get ice cream. Haha passed um..a lot of interesting people. I saw a lot of gay men..we passed a gay bar as well. Haha they were all hott..is that weird? But yeah it was interesting..Then had an early nite again. Sunday woke up 7ish again..it was the day for the Ceili (group dance) competition. My sister's group (the "big group") did extremely well..their teacher thought they'd atleast be top 10..expecting 5th/6th..hoping 3rd. And the "little group" was just thinking 12th-ish. I bought my mom this celtic cross earrings for her birthday..which is Friday..and I gave them to her right away, because she was saying she was going to go buy them. Haha all the moms standing around were awwing at "how sweet" it was. :x haha Yeah I'm such a good daughter ;) Yeahh so when they were done dancing..we went out as a whole big group to see some of Philadelphia..considering we were there and it was July 4th and all. Sooo we saw the Libery Bell..kind of interesting...I actually learned some stuff? haha. Um then we went across the way to see all the boots laid out for the soldiers fighting in Iraq that died. There were 865 of them..and all the boots had tags that said the person's name, age, and where they were from. It was really sad :\ It put things in perspective..most of them were aged 19-21 :( My mom was crying..and I almost cried when I saw the 1000 pairs of shoes that represented the 16,000 Iraqis killed..especially when I was reading the sign w/ all the Iraqis names on it. Alot were teenagers..like 14-16 :\ Soo sad. Um then we went back to the hotel and went to the awards ceremony. "Little group" got 13th out of 26 teams..not too bad, expected. "Big group" got jipped..definetely 13th out of 43 teams..they really were atleast top 10..I felt bad for their teacher..she was really pissed. But then we alllllll went out to eat..there was 28 of us..and we went to this Italian place. The service was extremely extremely slow. Soo Rick complained and convinced the lady to give us free dessert! haha so we ordered a ton. I felt sick tho..I think my stomach problem from the end of last summer is coming back..yuckk. Umm but then around 11 we got back to the hotel..ran around w/ the drunk parents trying to see if we could see fireworks from the hotel..haha. I finally went to the room and fell asleep around 12 cuz I didnt' feel good..and the rest of them rolled into the room around 1ish. Monday..this morning..woke up 9ish (which was like sleeping in..haha) and just packed up the room and stuff. I loved it..but around 3ish..Casey thru up in their van..and Krissy ended up coming w/ us. Blah that ruined it. Haha. Umm yeah finally got home 9ish..and I'm going to bed now..sorry for the long boring update :\ G'nite!
