Dad and I spent tonight cleaning out our storage room in a massive up-haul of the house that's going to take place over the next month (supposedly). It was a lot of fun to see all of my old toys and pictures again. ♥ They have been tenderly packed into Easter baskets and put away.
... Srysly.
While we were doing it, I found an old music box I bought at a pawn shop that was broken. It didn't play music, but I had liked the design. Naturally, my instinct is not, "Let's throw this piece o' junk away," but rather, "I BET I CAN GET THIS TO WORK AGAIN." 8D

Me: *scrubbing rust stains away*
Me: *using plyers on that bastard*

Me: *unable to get the damn winder to wind*
Me: 3<
Dad: I think your time would be better spent elsewhere. >.>
Dad: Because you're never getting that to work. >.>
Dad: YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MUSIC BOXES.

ten minutes later
Me: *screws the last part back on*
Me: *sigh*
Me: Oh well... I guess there was no chance of -
Me: *sets music box on table*
Music Box: *plays* ♥ ♥ ♥
Me: o.o
Dad: o.o
Dad: Oh my god.
Me: 8D
Me: IT WAS COWED BY THE POWER OF MY AWESOME!
... Yeah, I got nothin'.
