I'm not going to lie, I'm majorly depressed and everything seems pointless. But writing let me forget about the world for a little bit so that's what I spent most of today doing.
I cheated a bit. In addition to working on the actual story I also wrote about 2400 words of a prequel piece for
rainbowfic. A little short that I had planned to write and post back in October but never did. And I'm probably not going to post to RBF, definitely not now and maybe not ever, because given the current climate the subject matter would likely just piss people off. Even though the story's been in my head for at least a month, posting it now would be shockingly bad timing. So I'm going to sit on it for awhile and maybe forever. I did count it as part of my NaNo, though. If nothing else I could rework it as a flashback if I really wanted to put in the effort.
