Writing Recap: Week #2
My first post with my new paid DW account! My LJ paid account ran out and I decided to try out six months at DW instead of renewing. I can't afford paid accounts for both, so since I've been spending more time on DW lately I think that's a fair trade-off for now.
First, some announcements.
1. aldersprig's Giraffe Call is open. The theme is "In the City." Go leave some prompts! I'm a little late with this one, but I think you have the rest of today to leave prompts.
2. clare_dragonfly is also taking writing prompts through the rest of today and tomorrow. The theme is "paths."
Writing done this week: diddly-squat. I don't really even know why. I have all these ideas for things, especially for scenes in my Unusual Florida series. I just haven't been able to make myself sit down and focus enough to write them. Doesn't help that the weather lately has been making me feel pretty blah in general. Good news is that I just fixed my laptop that's been out of commission since before Christmas because of a faulty fan, so maybe I can be more motivated to write if I can do it while sitting on the couch and cocooning myself in five or six blankets (our apartment is freezing because heat = skyrocketing electric bill).
I posted a couple scenes, one of which I wrote last week (the second Unusual Florida scene I mentioned in last Sunday's post). It can be found here.
The second was one of the Myrrosta scenes I wrote back in December and never posted. I wrote a lot of those, but I was supposed to be focusing on Unusual Florida for the Flavor of the Month over at runaway_tales. But that never really went anywhere and I just didn't post the other stuff I wrote. Anyway, that story can be found here.
