I am thinking of doing a project. I don't want to talk details yet because I honestly don't have any. It's kind of a nebulous thing in my head (it's like a plan, but with more greatness). But as part of it, I wanted to ask you all:
What are your favorite science fiction/fantasy tropes and themes? Like, the things that will almost always make you read a book/watch a movie or TV show if that certain trope or theme is part of the summary/description/premise.
That's an extremely open-ended question and is meant to be so. The only thing is that I'd like the answers to be mostly unique to SFF works, though of course there's lots of room for interpretation there (especially when talking about general themes). I'd like to see what kind of answers I get.
