(no subject)
It snowed here. It's snowing here. It will be snowing here.
I drove to Kokomo in the snow this morning, had my hair cut, and then found out my mom wasn't going to my brother's dance performance thing after all, which was the reason I drove to town in the first place. Great. So I came up here for no reason, gas is now over $3.00 a gallon, and I am spending yet another unproductive weekend in Kokomo instead of at home getting stuff done.
And, just to underscore how I really shouldn't have bothered, earlier today the office at my apartment complex called to tell me that a water pipe burst in the apartment above and leaked into mine, but didn't give me many details. My brother is still down there and I sent him to see what the damage was. They said it was confined to the laundry room area, which in my apartment is empty because I don't have a washer/dryer, but I have no idea if the damage spread. And I'm worried about my cat because apparently maintenance was in and out putting fans in and I hate the thought that she might have gotten out.
(ETA: Brother just called and said nothing of ours was damaged. Maintenance just took up the carpet in the hallway in front of the laundry room to dry it, and even the empty boxes we were storing in the laundry room are okay. Also, Amy was fine and hiding under my brother's bed).
It's already the fourth of December, and the list of things I need to get done is just growing:
1. I still haven't bought holiday cards. It's so friggin' difficult to find ones I like that aren't holiday-specific, which is why I wanted to make my own. But it's not like I've done any work on that, either, and it's getting to be too late if I want the cards to actually arrive on time.
2. Number of Christmas presents bought: 0
3. Christmas photography project is going nowhere, since I have been either at work or out of town during all daylight hours for the past two weeks.
4. I've finished my first OrigFic Bingo card! Now I just need to format all the prompts (there are twelve) and post them and...mehhhhhhh too much work.
5. Relatedly, I want to make a writing index post with lists of my various universes and characters of interest, in the event someone actually reads the prompts (and the ones to come later) and wants to know who these people are.
6. I need to organize my Christmas music. I have a ton of Christmas music but some of the songs are duplicates and I really need to pare the list down.
7. I am hopelessly behind on screencaps and haven't even watched any of this week's shows except for Psych.
8. Speaking of which, I feel moved to make a reaction post to the most recent episode, except it would mostly consist of *SQUEE* and *FLAIL* and *OMG* and *DED FROM LAFF* because they did Twin Peaks omg omg and it was the best thing to ever be on television. And no one wants to read that.
Now I shall procrastinate some more by eating pizza.
