Everyone seems to be "yay!" about it, but I'm torn. The Dark Tower series is my favorite book series of all time, and though I'm hardly one to bitch about movies not being as good as the book (I'm hardly one to even care, actually. I've talked about why before), I still want any movies or TV series to be good and do the story justice. And my brother and I agree that Akiva Goldsman is a very hit-or-miss scriptwriter, as his stuff tends to be either awesome (A Beautiful Mind, Cinderella Man) or completely dreadful (Practical Magic, those two awful Batman movies before Christian Bale put on the cape and cowl). So it's a bit wait and see on that, I suppose.
If it even gets made at all, that is.
