NaNoWriMo Day One
As usual, I won't be posting about NaNoWriMo every single day. That's what my NaNo journal ahryantah is for. But, also like in previous years, I'll be posting weekly word count updates. I'm also posting an update for today because it's the first day. You won't hear about NaNo from me again until next Saturday at the earliest.
Anyway, what's my count after a day of writing?
6,968 / 50,000

Ta-da! Not bad. It's killing me that I'm only 32 words away from an even 7000, but I reached the end of the scene I was writing and I don't want to go back and insert another 32 words somewhere else. And I need to think where I want the story to go next before I start the next scene. Because I actually want stuff to happen within the first 10,000 words of the story this year!
