Happy birthday,
urbunnie!
(it's late, I know, I suck)

So I almost got hit by a car yesterday while riding my bike. Idiot ran a red light and I had to swerve suddenly to avoid him. I hit the sidewalk curb hard and the bike and I both went down. The bike is bent all to hell and I'll have to take it somewhere to get it fixed tomorrow (yes, this is the new bike that I just bought). My right knee is all banged up and swollen and stiff today, and my left shoulder got twisted or something because it hurts to raise my arm above my head. So that's me out of doing a lot of physical activity for the next couple of days, anyway.

In happier news, Dragon*Con in just a few days! I'm still going through the pocket program and deciding what I really want to see. I'll be spending a lot of time hanging around the Stargate Track and the Brit Track. There are one or two things each in the American Sci-Fi Track, the Sci-Fi and Fantasy Literature track, the Science track, the Whedonverse track (Firefly stuff), and the Writers' track that I want to check out. I also want to go to the Rennfest/Celtic Extravaganza concert on Thursday, the Mad Scientists' Ball, and try to get to the Drum Circle one night. And of course the parade. I need to sit down and really sift through the stuff I want to see.
