NaNo Day Twenty

Nov 20, 2007 15:28

What is this? A NaNo post two days before the end of Week Three? Well, as you can see this will be the end of the NaNo posts, because:

51,606 / 50,000
(103.2%)

Of course, I can't verify yet because that application won't be up on the NaNo site until November 25th. Oh, well. I'll just have to remember to do that when the day comes. I might continue working on the novel itself, although at a much slower pace. It seems a shame not to, since I even thought up an ending for it and everything, which is the first time I can say that for one of my NaNo stories.

So yeah. That last 10,000 words killed me and that part especially is probably pretty incoherent. Oh, well. This is a new personal record for me, too: done in 20 days! My previous fastest time was 21 days back in 2005.

So, a pretty fun NaNo this year. I wrote something very lengthy in a genre I had never attempted before, so that's good. It provided me with an additional challenge to just the word count, which actually gets pretty stale as a challenge after you've completed it a couple times. Still, it's fun and I had a lot of fun writing it.
