so i got a 3.7 this semester. i was pissed that i got a 3.0 in one of my classes when i wanted a 3.5. oh well. that prof sucks.
i'm at home for the summer, which is good because last summer i spent it up at school taking classes. and i get to see my puppy everyday. she's kind of a bitch, and really needs obedient school. i'm working at US Steel for the rest of the summer, and completed my safety training monday-thursday, and yesterday was my first day on the job. i'm so glad i dont have to do slave work. i'm working in the metallurgical lab, working on 2-3 projects for the summer, which is really exciting. the guys i work for are really nice, and aren't trashy like the dude that did the safety training. it was kind of ironic learning about safety from a dude who's face was half burnt. and he was from downriver and talked like a hick and said aint and nothin and it drove me nuts. he said he took an english class at a community college and dropped it after the first week because it was too hard. yikes. anyway so the guys i work for are normal and nice.
the good part is that i also get my own office!!! and my own computer and phone. sweeet. there are 2 other interns, and they have to share an office and have crappy computers. muahaha. so the projects are definitely going to be challenging and i'm really nervous about them. this is my first REAL job and not only do i not want to screw it up, but i want to make myself look really good. so hopefully that happens. i've been pretty shy so far. but i'm excited about it and couldn't have asked for a better position to work in within the company. this is exactly what i wanted to do. i got lucky :)
