I know i just posted one of them resistance is futile meme-y thingers a while ago, but these are the questions caitlin wanted to know so here they go
1. What do you like so much about playing a priest in WoW?
To be honest I didn't actually like it at first. I thought I'd hate healing when I first played the game so I stayed away from it as much as possible. It wasn't until Burning Crusade when I was futilely attempting to get my Rogue to level 70 without the aid of an actual guild. Trying to get groups together to do instances, but the server I was on at the time seemed to have quite a shortage of healers. After about two weeks of getting nothing done I said, "FUCK IT! I'm making a priest." That way I'd never need to find a healer ever again cause I'd be the healer!
To my surprise healing wasn't actually as bad as I thought it would be, as long as I had a good group things went fine, and as I got better at my job I got to the point that my healing skills could actually help a sub par group though an otherwise wipefest.
Also I'd have to say I like the dichotomy of the Priest's abilities, being both wielders of Holy and Shadow powers. No other class in the game has such differing themes. As a Priest you're either a vessel for all that is good, or a bastion of all that is evil.
2. Where do you get most of your ideas for your web comic? (Also, you should update it damn it!)
Truthfully they just come to me at random, some of the comics are based on things that have actually happened to me, but for the most part they're purely fictitious.
As for updating it you know my laptop died and I lost a working copy of photoshop, and my attempts to pirate it on my new computer were thwarted. However my copy of Photoshop Elements 8 finally came in the mail today so comics should be back up and posted normally soon, perhaps even as soon as tomorrow.
3. If you could play any Rock Band song perfectly in real life, what one would you choose?
Hmm, I'm guessing since you added the real life part you mean if I actualy was playing on a real bass. If that is the situation I'd say Metallica's Battery from Rock Band 2 cause that's pretty much the hardest bass song evers and if I could play that perfectly I could probably play any song perfectly.
As far as songs in the actual game go I wish I could play Blink 182's "Feeling This" perfectly, cause that song is awesome. It's a different kind of bass song, both fast paced and having you constantly moving your fingers. I know I'll get it eventually.
4. Your top 10 video games of all time:
Ok here we go, a question often asked and never gets the same answer. I can honestly tell you my answer is going to drastically different from anyone else's list.
Honorable mention) Duck Hunt
Duck Hunt was the first game I ever played and because of that it has a special place in my heart. I'd have to consider it the first real console first person shooter. And while it has been featured as an after thought addition to a set of mini games I'd love to see it remade as it's own stand alone game. Like a Wii-Ware title. I'd pay 10 bucks for that.
10) Pokemon
I don't want to make a point of listing an entire series, but in the case of Pokemon I have no problem, seeing at every game is essentially the same one, just with different Pokemon, though despite that fact I've faithfully purchased one of the games in each generation and each generation's third game. I've probably wasted more hours of my life trying to catch these bastard Japanese thunder mice than on any other game.
9) Goldeneye
The game that revolutionized the console first person shooter, it may look incredibly archaic by today's standards but this gem made in the early life of the Nintendo 64 was the first game of it's type. A great story, easy learning and difficulty curve and a multiplayer mode that would be copied till this very day.
8)Super Mario World
With so many Mario games out there it's kind of hard to pick just one, and even though the 3-D Mario games are great I think the little plumber's at his best in 2-D, that being said it comes down to two games, either 3 or World, and while most people would say 3 was the better game World wins out in my book for one simple reason. You can replay a level after you beat it. Super Mario World is also the first game where I did everything there was to do in a game, unlocking the mirror world and finding all 96 exits.
7)Lufia II
Getting a little obscure here, not many people have played Lufia II and it's a damn shame cause they missed one of the best RPGs of all time. Far and beyond everything the original Lufia was. Lufia II's unique brand of classic RPG gameplay, innovative dungeon exploration and challenging puzzles make it a truly great game, not to mention the story thaat can only be described as epic. It even had a monster raising side game inside of it, so I'll say it her now, Pokemon was ripped off from Lufia II
Too bad each game after II sucked as to the point that after 2 more games and 3 canceled ones the Lufia series is pretty much dead.
6)Secret of Mana
Secret of Mana was the first game I bought for the Super Nintendo, in fact I bought it before I even had a Super Nintendo. This game is just awesome. Deep story, interesting characters that get greatly developed and excellent live action battle system. It's like Final Fantasy ate Legend of Zelda. There was simply no other game like it at the time it came out.
5)Portal
What can I say about Portal that hasn't already been said. This game is fucking awesome, go play it now. PLAY IT NOW!
4)Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Metal Gear games has a reputation of overly epic and confusing as all hell stories, this game is no different. Unfortunately unlike any of the other games on my list you can't just pick this one up and play it, you really need to have played the other 2 games to get the full scope of the story.
3)Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
The best game in the series in my opinion. Again the thing that makes this game is the story, along with the beautiful settings you could really get immersed in it. More importantly Zelda made the transition from 2-D to 3-D better than any other classic series, so what if we don't have crazy laser swords anymore, I can deal with that.
2)Final Fantasy VI
My hands down favorite game in the series. This game's story was truly deep. Full of tons of unique and memorable characters Final Fantasy VI boasts the larges cast of any game in the series with 14 playable characters not to mention probaly the most evil off all main villains. Set in a new steampunk themed world VI broke tradition of being set in mid evil themed world.
And to anyone who'd say that Final Fantasy VII is the best game in the series I have two words to say to you. FUCK YOU! Now I'm not saying that Final Fantasy VII is a bad game, I just sick of people saying how awesome it is. You know why there's a VII at the end of the title? IT'S BECAUSE SIX OTHER GAMES CAME BEFORE IT!! Go fucking play them!
1) Wild Arms
Another obscure game, but one I call my favorite game of all time. The first RPG on the original Playstation it was largely overshadowed a few months later by some other RPG (Again Fuck you Final Fantasy VII.) Wild Arms is awesome. It has an epic, deep long story. Makes use the the three character story system better than any game I've ever played. The way the three main characters interact with each other, the immense character development, no other game can come close.
5. Describe your ideal apartment or home!
My ideal apartment or home eh? Well seeing that I'm all blind and all I'm not the best at taking care of a yard, so I like apartments seeing that I don't have to maintain a yard there. I'd life a place that would allow pets. I'd like to have a dog, but if I couldn't then well I'd learn to live with it, no apartment I've lived in so far allowed animals and I was fine. One thing my ideal apartment would have to have would be a gas stove, electric stoves suck! I'd like a decent sized bedroom so I could have room for all the bedroom stuff and my computer desk and a couple of bookcases.
