Hello you all ^^.
Ok, first what's first: Teh 2007 X-mas Fanart!!!
In December I have the urge to draw Christmas-y fanart, and of course, Kaworu's the perfect model.
aquadragon5 said Kaworu would make a great Santa, and I think so too, so I decided to draw chibi Kaworu with a Santa-ish outfit and with a bag full of odd presents. Sorry, no chibi Shinji this time, although while I was drawing I wished I had done Shinji instead of some of the presents >.<...
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters behind the cut, though I wish I did T^T, they belong to Gainax, Hideaki Anno, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto...
Rating: G. No adult content whatsoever sorry for those of you who expected some pr0n ^^U.
Comments: Thanks to
aquadragon5 for the idea ^^, I hope you all like it.
Materials/Programs: My mouse in Manga Studio EX 3.0.
I wonder who would accept such presents... well, I would since the I've come to love those creatures and maybe the Pastu :P.
If it's too messy and you cannot distinguish the angels I drew, here's the list: Leliel's shadow (fuck, I swear I drew Leliel's zigzag pattern but that shitty Manga Studio didn't save it D'X), Ramiel, Arael, Matarael, Sahaquiel, Armisael and Shamshel's tentacles/arms(?)... the rest are inside the bag, believe it :P. Apparently Armisael is beating the Hell out of Shamshel, so neither Armisael has its original form nor Shamshel's fully present in the drawing XD. My beloved Kaworu was carrying the bag but those two started fighting and the angels want to get out of there, so our poor Santa couldn't continue his walk.
About my jaw, it's better... at least the pain is bearable now. I have an appointment on Wednesday to check everything concerning my surgery, but I think I'm ok, except that I still cannot open my mouth widely DX.
These days have been kinda boring, I must say. I got beaten up in Starcraft so stupidly it pissed me off and stop playing.
Two days ago I read First Love, a novel by Ivan Turgenev. The thing is that I read it in French (YAYZ!) and I understood almost everything, so I'm happy about that ^^.
The book itself is good. I dunno if Turgenev is a realist as André Maurois states, he's rather romatic to me... the descriptions, how the details become important to the author, to the narrator and to the development of the story; how the physical and the metaphysical properties of the things and the characters guide the reader through a specific path in the reading... anyway, I like this kind of literature so I enjoyed reading it and I insist I should have been born in Russia in the 19th or 20th century XD.
The story, though, made me want to beat the Hell out of Turgenev's characters >.<. Yeah, I know I didn't write the book, so the characters are not mine, and I know I don't live in the Russia of the 19th century, therefore it's difficult for me to understand the way those people behaved... maybe I'm angry at myself for behaving, feeling and thinking sometimes like a 16 years old boy, a 21 years old girl, or a poet of the XIXth century ¬¬. Somehow I saw myself described in some things written by Turgenev and it's ridiculous. I've read that the value of the great classics is that they apply to situations of different epochs, but for a 21st century reader is rather humiliating to be depicted so accurately in some aspects in the traits of a fictional character so strange to the own reality. What I'm saying is that some things that have cost me tears and hours of reflection were already written decades ago in a context completely different from the context where I've grown up.
Dunno why but I feel like posting some quotes here (they're in French, sorry):
Finally, this is a X-mas post so:
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
