Some friends and I were discussing religion, spirituality, and such one day. We were talking about different faiths and the new wave of spirituality, and someone said, "Religion is not a smorgasbord." I took this as a slight shot at people who dabble and pick and choose what they like in terms of their faith. My reply, "Maybe, but if the food isn't palatable, you're not going to eat it, either."
So, pick away, people. Find your path and what truly works for you. True, it won't always feel great, in the moment, but listen to your inner voice, conscience, or whatever you want to term it. You'll know what feels right to you even if it causes temporary discomfort.
