For being the first day of school, today was actually really good. The bus situation this year is a bit annoying, I must admit, considering the middle schoolers this year are probably the worst group I have ever had the displeasure of being in the company of, and also that it now takes me an hour to get home despite living five minutes from school. But, I digress, that's minimal, and I have a phone with internet access and an iPod now, so I sha'n't complain much on that subject.
Basically, what shall I do, some kind of summary of the day? Mm, yes, I shall.
Once again this year, my day begins with English. I'm a bit more optimistic about that class this year, since I like the teacher, and I have a couple friends in that class, including RJ and Ananya (!!!). I still need to read The Sun Also Rises, oops. I just can't stand how boring it is. Fortunately for me, it seems I'm in the same boat as many of my classmates this year in regards to the summer reading, including Vidhan, who currently has a 4.8 GPA and is #1 in the junior class ranking, so you can guess pretty quick what kind of student this kid is.
Second hour! That's Spanish V. Haha, I kind of hate having to go from deep thinking about English to deep thinking about Spanish, but there you have it. Beatty again like last year, so no big deal. He kind of jumped right in in terms of doing stuff, but that wasn't really a problem, all it taught me was I need to get my listening comprehension back up to par.
Also I'm being exclusively referred to as "Miss Redhead" now by Beatty. Seriously, he's my favorite teacher for the weirdest reasons, not to mention lots of those reasons are the same reasons most other people dislike him. Oops.
After that we move on to Personal Finance. Not a whole lot to say about that class. Basically, it's going to tell me things I already know, what with my mom being Controller of the company she works for, and also with me being so incredibly...not want-ing of much.
Since that class is only a semester, in January I'm going to be taking Driver's Ed. HAHA how fun that one will be.
Mm, and then fourth hour's art. I really like Early so far, just like Kat said I would. Like him more than Worthykins, but Worthykins was kind of obnoxious, especially towards the end of the year. Ruby's in that class, which is pretty good, though I'm not entirely sure she recognizes me. Ariana and Laura are in that class too, and I've gotten comfortable talking to them, so that's not too bad. Connor's at our table too, and he was the kid who cosplayed Finn with my friends' Adventure Time group at ACen, so it's not too bad talking around him either. Kelly's in the AP Art class that Early teaches at the same time, so that's good if I need to pass along club news or whatever.
Fifth hour's history! U.S., yes, but still history, and with a teacher I hear is totally awesome, and also with Sam, so it's bueno. He's still in Bulgaria, but I digress. I'm afraid he'll be monopolized by the annoying little shits in our class, but I'll claw his arm off if needed. c: And he'll definitely eat lunch with me and the other club members, because Hailey eats lunch with us, and uhhhh, pretty sure he'd eat lunch with his girlfriend. Just a guess, anyway. Kind of sad, though, that I don't see Kat at all during the school day. She doesn't eat the same lunch as I do. Ashley and Bella both do, which is good, because they were pretty heavily on The Path To Weeaboo last year. Much easier to stop them when I've got more time with 'em, ha ha.
Sixth hour's learning lab! Something along the lines of 29 kids in that class. It's quite preposterous, especially with a gifted learning lab, which usually have like....10 kids max. I'm hoping the number drops significantly second semester, when all the AII kids are out.
Aaand, seventh hour is Pre-Calc/Trig. Fun times, having that last in the day. At least I'm closer to both the clubroom and the bus, but it's still like........math. Thinking. All that stuff. o3o
There's something along the lines of three foreign exchange students in my math class, speaking of which. A German boy, a Korean girl, and I believe a Japanese boy? Throwing a guess on that last one since all we know is he is a boy, he is from a foreign country, he was not present today, and his name is Yuki Fujimura.
And now this evening my mom's going to a Queensryche concert, so I get to stay home by myself. I'm hoping I can either get a group of Plurkies to Skype with me or else get my Skype group from Tumblr moving on a call a bit earlier than usual, but if not then I'll probably just play music at full blast as usual. o3o
