Older Anime Fans
Well, I found out that a friend on Furuba Forums is 6...oops I mean 4 now that I think about it, Grrr! I told her 6!! Now I feel dumb. >.< Anyway, she's the only friend I have that it this close to me in age.
Usually, my friends are 4-6 years younger than I am. But, I'm so happy cuz she likes anime and I do too! Most people (because I'm much older) thinks it's stupid that I watch cartoons. Well dammit! I don't like soaps and reality TV!!! I'll watch the funny sitcoms like The George Lopez show (he reminds my of relatives) and That's 70's show, but I love anime! It's become such a passion. I love the art, plots, characters, and sometimes the morals.
Not that I'm saying younger people shouldn't watch it, but please, don't discriminate me for being 22 and drooling over a Kyo. And some of you know I'm married and have a baby. Well, my hubby watches anime too (he actually was the first person I knew besides myself who watched it) And my daughter likes watching Anime. Sure she's only a one year old, but she likes to watch Fruits Basket with me. Not that I'll let her watch it after she turns 2 or 3.
So, what I' getting at is: Just because I'm 22 doesn't mean the only anime I watch is hentai. My hubby thinks it's funny that I obesses over a cartoon. Anyway, he likes some anime girls and I don't mind. I'm still human and I started watching anime when I was 15. Do you want it to be a thing of the past, or do you see yourself, like me, in a fews years still liking it? Ask yourself that question before you think, "Eeww...isn't she too old you watch cartoons?!"
