What I've heard about the episode is that:
Orihime doesn't look as desperate as se should have.
Ishida doesn't get his hand cut.
Ichigo apparently did see what was going on even after he got a hole in his chest.
Ulquiorra...well I haven't heard of Ulquiorra. :/
My God anime team....way to stay consistent. -_-
On the plus side:
Ulquiorra recited his Lust poem in the preview! It sounded scary but the last part.....oh Namikawa~
The omake was a continuation of last week! XD
Dammit I won't be able to watch the episode until later tonight!! DX

Well, I just watched it and.....was it me or was the episode not as epic as it should have been?
General:
First of all, HOLY RECAP AND FLASHES BATMAN! Seriously how much time did those take? O_o
And Fucking Quality Animation, all those changes in quality were really killing the episode for me....some scenes were done well, some scenes where done bad, and some scenes where just plain bad.
I think reusing the animation from the PSP game, apart from being showing how lazy Pierrot was, clashed too much with the animation quality of the rest of the episode.
The most clashing scene though, was the one with Orihime's back to Ichithing as she turns around. That stop motion was good for the game but, for the anime it seemed choppy, like it didn't belong there, and again, it clashed terribly with the previous scene's quality.
I can't complain too much about the music since I like most of the choices, the only one I wasn't particularly fond of the change was at the beginning when Ulqui blasts a hole on Ichigo.
The censoring was a pain in the ass, they start with showing Ichigo's hole and heck did it look creepy! But then they can't cut Ishida's hand??? How weird no? That they never had any trouble cutting away ARMS in previous episodes...are they trying to be more gentle with the good guys or are they trying to make Ulquiorra more empathetic to the audience for the next episode? Because, hell, Ulquiorra didn't do much damage to Ishida and he CAN do it if he wants to, Ichigo can vouch for him.
Ishida:
I liked the extended UlquiIshi fight, it was nice seeing Ishida trying to kick some ass and Ulquiorra batting his wings so much. XD
Of course, the censorship sucked away any real potential for the dramatics that Ishida pulled after getting his hand cut in the manga by the way, would it kill people to stop saying Ulquiorra cut his arm off? It was just the fucking hand dammit! and as an Ishi fan that pisses me off. Ishida was the efin' hero in that damn arc and not having that hand only multiplied it by ten-fold.
I will give it one pro point though, his voice actor convinced me that it was scary having Ulquiorra grabbing his hand. Hear his shuddering gasp and tell me that didn't make go "oooooh shiiiiiiii-"; oh and, pay attention to that hand grabbing moment, you'll see that SegundaEtapa!Ulquiorra has a very peculiar "light colored fur" ahaha, oh coloring staff~
Orihime:
I agree with what others have said, that she doesn't seem as scared and hopeless like in the manga....I seriously didn't feel her despair.
On some part she did seem like she was dead inside, like she had her brain shut off, the problem is that the scenes of her reacting to stuff happening around her made it seem like she had a bit of sanity left.
Her reacting to Ishida's eerr....broken arm and the tail whips he received from Ulquiorra give the impression that she was more worried about Ishida than Ichigo but her constant Kurosaki-kunning showed the opposite, I don't know, I'm confused, anyway she didn't show much concern for Ishibabe in the manga and now in the anime it looks weird because we already know this
Her what should I do, what should I do woe is meeeee and help me Kurosaki-kuuuuuuun are just not that heart felt to me, maybe it's Yuki's fault? The anime didn't draw her well enough when screaming (as in not desperate enough, it was like a sad kid crying), maybe it was because they didn't draw the mouth as big as in the manga, you could feel her desperation, you could almost touch it...in the anime? not so much.
Ichigo:
Well, Ichigo indeed looks dead, very very dead. With a huge hole where his heart used to be and with that blank dead stare, how can anyone deny that he was deeeeeeeeead???
Oh. The anime addition. Yeah, I know of some delusional fans that think the anime is better than the manga will cling to this fillerastic canon murdering addition.
But, did anyone else notice that the screams, wailing and sobbing from Orihime were the focus of those scenes? Particularly the "taskete" part? I've come to the conclusion that Ichigo wasn't seeing what was going on (I mean, just take a look at the angles honeys) but he heard all of it (how can a corps hear is beyond me, but that's what Kubo gave him so meh.), and that is sticking with canon because as far as I'm concerend, Ichigo heard the scream for help and help is what he wanted to do. It doesn't matter if it was Orihime or Ishida or whatever, he heard "help" and rose up. Funny that some desperate people are now saying to just look at the pictures to prove he rose up to protect Orihime since, you know, ISHIDA is in those pictures as well hahaha.
I did like how he scream "I will protect!" and his transformation sequence though~
Ichithing:
Oooooh man, that THING was beastly. Starting with the roar, Ichizilla might be a more proper name ahahaha.
This thing looks like it has a bit more of a brain though, jumping from the rubble, surprising Ulqui anytime he can, TROWING A FUCKING ROCK ahahahahahaha.
I'm glad they didn't censor the faceplant Ichithing gave to Orihime, OUCH that must have hurt. Yeah, it gently launched the love of it's life face first into the arms of the flimsy Quincy, can you feel the love, can you feeeel it?
Ichithing and his close ups, they were pretty freaky weren't they? If there was any doubt that Ichithing is not a good thing, then just look at those roaring scenes and the ones with it grinning at the prospect of beating up Ulquiorra and tell me again that this fucking abomination is anything but bad.
Ulquiorra:
Oh damn Ulquiorra, you look so composed even when being faceplanted against the pillar and being surprised from behind so many times.
This fight may have all the fanbois screaming that Ichithing was beating the shit out off Ulquiorra but, seriously? The beating Ichigo received from Ulquiorra was more wince inducing to me than this. My favorite character is supposedly getting tore a new one and I can't even bat an eye in worry. I think the anime team might have unknowingly made the fight a bit more even. o__o
I'm so delighted to hear Namikawa's Spanish, though he does not have the perfect accentuation, it is still pleasing to my mexican ears~
Ulqui flying around, batting his wings, floating in front of Orihime, grabbing Ishida's hand, all those were squee inducing to me, not to mention that some of the best animation went to him. <3

I still think the overlapping lines makes it sound creepy but, the suspended silence and then the focus on the last line makes it epic. "Because of the heart......I lust for everything about you" Ack. I'm gonna die.....
And ohoho I see that Ichithing has Ulqui hanging from his wing, Orihime telling Ichithing to stop and Ishida being the moral compass.
There's just one thing that worries me.....they showed the others fighting......does this mean the hand reach won't last that long???? Guuuuu I want those scenes to last forever!!! >3<

All in all, it was an ok episode, not overly failtastic as previous episodes but not as epic as it should had been...I was expecting more from this particular episode since, hey, the hero of the story is the focus point in this one! But oh well.
