I've come to realize that two years is a huge difference in age. For the most part this is a huge difference in maturity for people two years apart. This is especially true between the ages of (11-20). An 14 year old is miles above a 12 year old in intelligence and maturity. It's the same for a 15 and a 17 year old.
If you look way back into the depths of this journal. During my sophomore year, I was cyberbullied by my ex-boyfriend Shawn. Hell if I even begin to remember what caused him to be a dickhole to me. But he did. At the time I was 15 and I viewed myself at the smartest. Because I had this "eye am mightyer dan u" attitude, I charged headfirst into the 17 year old's mockery of me. I ended up really hurt and I probably cried my fair share of tears over it. I was no match for Shawn and his 23234324 internet friends.
Looking back at it, I feel disgusted. What he did was wrong. I didn't even understand most of the rude comments made at me till I looked back them, years later. I was 15 and very naive. I barely knew what sex and love were. I'm also pretty sure at the time the comments were unwanted. I had a boyfriend and I pretty much just wanted to be left alone and live a normal high school life. I can imagine that the healing process for Shawn might have ended around then had he not decided to challenge me with his even older girlfriend. Instead it took me several years more and my yearning to be with him ended recently.
At least, looking back at it, I can say I grew up to be somewhat of a more successful human being than him.
