Title: Sexuality--It's Ridiculous
Pairing: KyuHae
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: I have a facebook friend who lives in Seoul...does that count?
Summary: Kyuhyun's probably the straightest guy you've ever met; he likes booze, his job, and women. But what happens when his best friend Heechul decides he's had enough and propositions host Donghae to do his best to change this fact about Kyuhyun? Will it work? Or will there be more problems deciding Kyuhyun's sexuality? And what happens when the playboy starts falling for him?
“What are you thinking about?” Hyukjae asks, already fully aware of the answer he was going to get.
Donghae stares out the window of Hyukjae’s BMW and he rolls his eyes.
“What do you think I’m thinking about?” Donghae answers the question with his own, tone dripping with sarcasm.
Hyukjae nods in understanding, “So…what are you gonna do?”
“Beat the shit out of him.”
--------------------------------------------------------------
Donghae was pacing in his and Hyukjae’s room, plans of revenge and absolute terrorism on the life that belonged to Cho Kyuhyun filling up his brain.
You see, Donghae had been sad at first. He really liked Kyuhyun (he no longer believed it was love. No way. Besides, what kind of idiot believes in love at first sight anyways?) then and to have him leave his life so suddenly threw him off, but after that…well let’s just say that Donghae had turned into the angry ex-girlfriend, no boyfriend, you know, the ones that in the end cause the demise of every single relationship of the one who hurt them so they can see just what the fuck they were missing and just how they would pay for leaving them in the first place.
Oh you could very well say that Donghae was very ready and really looking forward to his revenge. He completely deleted the part of his heart that told him to just break down and cry in front of Kyuhyun and ask him why he left and then beg him to come back because he just might still have feelings for him after all these months, but the second that thought had passed Donghae’s mind, he had fallen to the floor laughing at the visual. Him? Beg? He laughed even harder.
Hell no, Donghae was not going to plead or beg or any of that nonsense, he was going to do the exact opposite and force Kyuhyun to be the one to plead and beg and then blow him off and leave.
‘Ohoho,’ Donghae thought, ‘this is going to be really fun.’
Hyukjae knew what Donghae was up to and he didn’t like it. Hadn’t the two of them already been through enough? Donghae was just going end up hurting the both of them and he knew it would never end well.
But what could he do? Once Donghae had his mind set, there’s nothing really you could do except sit and watch as disaster unfolds.
Maybe in the end he could laugh about it…but then again maybe not.
------------------------------------------
The day before the concert, Donghae decided to go shopping and he thought it was best for Hyukjae to go as well. And what Donghae saw best was usually the best, well for your health anyways.
“Can we just sit down for a few seconds? We’ve been walking all day.” Hyukjae states, feet feeling the effects of being dragged by Donghae on foot all across the shopping districts in Hong Kong.
Donghae ignores him, “Oh look, let’s go in here!”
Hyukjae groans but does what he’s told. He prays there’s a bench in the store.
His jaw drops when he enters the door.
Donghae’s usual clothing choices consisted of button down plaid shirts and loose fitting jeans, an occasional hat thrown on his head, maybe a few accessories. So imagine Hyukjae’s surprise when Donghae picks this store to go into.
It was incredible grunge and dark, lines of ripped, circulation cutting skinny jeans framing the walls of the somewhat small store, t-shirts with curse words littered across them laying in stacks on tables around the store, studded accessories lined shelves and the room had an overall dark look.
Hyukjae’s eyes widened. This was not the look Donghae usually went for and he was scared and somewhat excited to see the end result all at the same time.
“Wait over by the dressing rooms, will you?” Donghae demands more than asks.
Hyukjae sighs and more than willingly obliges, seeing those precious benches to help relieve the pain in his feet.
He watched from the benches as Donghae walked around the store, holding up items of clothing, occasionally keeping one in his hands going on about the store. It was about 15 minutes later when Donghae approached the dressing rooms.
“I’m gonna try these on, stay here okay?”
Hyukjae wanted to roll his eyes and say, ‘Where else would I go?’ but he just nodded, not wanting to argue with him.
5 minutes later, Donghae was walking out of the little dressing room, looking at Hyukjae expectantly. He swallowed.
Donghae was wearing a pair of skin tight, ripped from the pocket to the ankle jeans that looked like they were actually painted on his skin instead of pulled on. There were safety pins holding pieces of fabric together at certain intervals and they rode low on his hips. He was wearing a low v-neck black shirt with a sort of grey snakeskin pattern on it, a thin leather jacket thrown over it. His teal sneakers added a pop of color to the look and damn Donghae for looking way too sexy in it. Hyukjae regretted wearing skinny jeans that day.
“Well?” Donghae asked, smirking knowingly. He knew exactly what his choice of clothing was doing to Hyukjae and he really didn’t need to ask, Hyukjae’s bulge was already doing all the talking. A turn on outfit was what Donghae had been going for so right then and there he knew he would be buying this and he was absolutely going to wear it to the concert tomorrow night.
Hyukjae spluttered and managed a nod. It was really the only way he could reply at that moment.
Donghae smiled a knowing smile, went back into the changing room to change back into the clothes he came in, and came back out.
“Let’s go check out.” He said.
Hyukjae nodded again and followed Donghae to the register, one thought on his mind:
“Poor Kyuhyun.”
--------------------------------------------------------------
Kyuhyun sighed. It was the day of the concert and he was not looking forward to it. First of all, he did not like the sound of screaming. And going to this concert would surely end up knocking out every part of his eardrums from all the screaming that would more than likely ensue.
Second of all, that goddamned Hyukjae would be there. He had completely wiped out all connections to Donghae and Hyukjae was probably the biggest one he had left and the only way to break that off would be to kill Hyukjae, but considering the fact that Kyuhyun was not at all into capital punishment, he would not be doing that any time soon. So he just had to go and hope to whatever god there was that Hyukjae would not bring Donghae up into a conversation if the situation arose in which Kyuhyun would have to actually talk to Hyukjae. He prayed for this the whole car ride to the stadium, Zhou Mi doing what he did best and talking his ear off.
Kyuhyun liked Zhou Mi, he really did. He was good company and on a good day, he didn’t really annoy Kyuhyun that much and even made him laugh sometimes. Well, today was not a good day and Zhou Mi was starting to seriously work on Kyuhyun’s very last nerve.
Zhou Mi was a good friend, don’t get Kyuhyun wrong, but sometimes the man just didn’t know when to shut up.
Kyuhyun let out a small exasperated noise and was about to tell Zhou Mi to fuck off, but that Zhou Mi sat up, screaming a, “We’re here!” and sliding the van door open, a big goofy grin on his face, waiting for Kyuhyun to follow him.
Kyuhyun sighed and slid out of the van, following Zhou Mi to the side entrance of the stadium, away from the already screaming girls waiting in front of the doors for the concert to start on the other side of the building.
Thank god Kyuhyun brought ear plugs. Not that they’d help any.
He followed Zhou Mi through the halls heading to his dressing room, occasionally stopping for Zhou Mi to greet some of the crew members. Then Zhou Mi stopped in front of him one more time, causing Kyuhyun to run into him. He leaned around him to see what made him stop this time and his breathe caught in his throat and he felt like someone had dealt a heavy blow to his abdomen.
A few feet away from them, the man he knew to be Hyukjae was pressed against the wall, breathing heavily and face flushed. It wasn’t Hyukjae that had Kyuhyun almost keeling over though. It was the man who was running his hands up Hyukjae’s shirt, lips attached to his neck. Donghae was basically eating Hyukjae right in front of them and Kyuhyun felt the strongest urge to turn around and run as fast as he could but Zhou Mi speaking up had him stopping.
“You guys, seriously, is this any place to be doing that? Especially when I brought a guest with me.”
Donghae and Hyukjae looked up at the pair, Hyukjae slightly mortified at being caught, more so by whom they were caught by. Donghae just smirked.
Donghae looked past Zhou Mi, looking straight into Kyuhyun’s eyes, however he didn’t see the shocked expressing he was hoping to see. It was kind of blank and steely, and he wanted to shrink back at the almost…what was it…hatred that he saw there.
Zhou Mi spoke up, pointing towards Donghae, “Kui Xian this is-“
But before he could continue his sentence, Kyuhyun was turning on his heel and speed walking the hell out of there.
“Wait! Kui Xian, where are you going?!” Zhou Mi yelled, following after Kyuhyun.
Hyukjae sighed and ran a hand over his face, “I knew we shouldn’t have done this.”
Donghae was feeling very disappointed. That was not at all the reaction he had wanted from Kyuhyun. He had imagined Kyuhyun glaring holes at Hyukjae, to be angry only at Hyukjae and get insanely jealous, to work Kyuhyun up and then have him crawling back, then pushing him away. Like Kyuhyun did to him. But that didn’t happen. Kyuhyun had only stared with hatred at Donghae. There was no other reaction. That was it. And Donghae began to feel extremely and somewhat irrationally angry.
Why should Kyuhyun hate him?! He did nothing wrong. Kyuhyun was the one who left, not him. If anything, Donghae deserved a fucking apology,
Zhou Mi caught up with Kyuhyun and pulled him around, “Where are you going?! Hey, why are you crying?”
Kyuhyun narrowed his eyes, arm coming up to scrub at his face, “I am not crying.” If anything, Kyuhyun was crying out of anger. He often did it when he couldn’t control his temper.
“Yes you are!” Zhou Mi exclaimed, concern washing over his body. He pulled Kyuhyun close to him despite Kyuhyun’s struggles to stay put. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing is wrong! I just don’t want to be here!”
Zhou Mi gathered Kyuhyun up in his arms, “But why? Was it because of what you just saw? I mean I knew you weren’t into like gays, but I didn’t know you were like a homophobe or something. I’m sorry for them! We don’t have to be around them at all! We can just go to my dressing room and you don’t have to see them okay?”
Kyuhyun let Zhou Mi go on with his ‘homophobe’ theory because it was sure as hell a lot easier than explaining his and Donghae’s one night stand and how Hyukjae had been involved in it.
He let Zhou Mi lead them to his dressing room, “I wasn’t crying by the way.”
“Yes you were, you big baby.” But Zhou Mi smiled, letting Kyuhyun know he was just joking. Kyuhyun got annoyed anyways.
Donghae had watched the whole interaction and to say the least, he was slightly pissed. Why was Kyuhyun letting Zhou Mi touch him all over like that? When him and Kyuhyun had first met, Kyuhyun was absolutely against skinship.
His plan at revenge was slowly failing.
------------------------------------
Kyuhyun was still in Zhou Mi’s room, watching the performances from the big screen TV that was in the room.
This was when Donghae would strike. Zhou Mi was in the middle of his solo performance and Hyukjae was getting ready for the next song so Donghae had an advantage.
He reached Zhou Mi’s room and watched Kyuhyun jump when he opened the door and closed it. He saw with a sort of satisfaction Kyuhyun get up and swallow hard, looking slightly lost at what to do.
“We need to talk.” Donghae said, and a sort of sense of nostalgia settled about the room, Donghae recalling he had said the same thing to Kyuhyun a year ago.
But instead of Kyuhyun pushing him on, he simply stated with a, “No we don’t.”
Donghae’s eyes narrowed, “Yes we do.”
Kyuhyun continued to give him the same steely look and Donghae took it as a chance to go on, “Why’d you leave?”
“Why did you?” Kyuhyun countered.
It took Donghae back a bit, “What? What do you mean? I didn’t go anywhere!”
Kyuhyun shook his head, “You left the room to go after Hyukjae.”
Donghae’s eyes widened, “Is THAT why you left?! Are you kidding me?! I was just trying to comfort him! He was still my friend Kyuhyun!”
“So just now in the hall, you were comforting him? You guys are dating again right?”
“I-“
“Exactly, it was going to happen sooner or later right? For what happened between you two earlier to happen, there had to still be mutual attraction right? If we had allowed our relationship to progress, what makes you say that you wouldn’t have left me for him? Feelings like the two of you had don’t just disappear. You guys are happy together now right? So there would’ve eventually been nothing between us. Besides, I would’ve come to my senses sooner or later. I’m sorry Donghae, I’m just not gay.”
Kyuhyun moved towards the door and past Donghae, “So why are you in here talking to me now Donghae? There’s nothing to talk about. Now if you’ll excuse me, I promised Zhou Mi I’d watch him perform.” And he left Donghae alone in Zhou Mi’s room, mouth gaping wide open. This was definitely not how he expected the conversation to play out. He wanted Kyuhyun to tell him why he left and then Donghae would fix it then follow through with his revenge. But Kyuhyun had totally shot him down. He leaned against the closed door and slid down the front of it.
Instead of feeling victorious like he hoped to feel, well he felt like crap. Kyuhyun had somehow, Donghae would never know how, made him feel guilty. Did he miss something when Kyuhyun told him not to go after Hyukjae?
----------------------------------------
Kyuhyun didn’t know what to do. After everything he went through to forget Lee Donghae, he randomly shows up in his life again. And fuck, he looked good. He slapped himself for that one.
But he successfully ran away from Donghae yet again like he had been doing for the past year, and somehow, tonight, or maybe even somewhere along the way, he forgot exactly why he was running. Somehow, in the last year, he had forgotten his reasons for leaving Donghae and he just replaced it with his hate for the guy. Or did he even hate him?
Kyuhyun growled, throwing his head back and hitting the wall with it. He couldn’t go back now. This was what he chose. Him and Donghae could never ever be. Donghae had Hyukjae and he had…who did he have…? Zhou Mi? And that’s when an idea sparked in his mind. Zhou Mi. He could end up making this all less of a disaster.
Zhou Mi could help him make Donghae see why Hyukjae was not the better choice, but he was the only choice Donghae had and he would make him regret that fact.
-----------------------------------------
Donghae was apprehensive to say the least. The whole of SJM had decided to go to a club to celebrate the success of the concert. Clubs had alcohol, dancing, more alcohol, and Kyuhyun.
Donghae had expected Kyuhyun to say no when Zhou Mi asked him to go with them, but much to Donghae’s surprise, Kyuhyun had actually smiled and said yes. And now, he and Zhou Mi were excruciatingly close to eachother in the very back seat of the van, hands joined and Zhou Mi’s head resting on Kyuhyun’s shoulder, Kyuhyun’ head on Zhou Mi’s.
‘What the hell is this?!’ Donghae had thought right when he entered the van, throwing the two a questioning glare.
What was Kyuhyun playing at? He was pretty sure about a half an hour ago, Kyuhyun had made it clear he wasn’t gay. But here he was, draped all over Zhou Mi, in the back of a van that he was in.
Oh. So this was the game Kyuhyun wanted to play. You scooted of towards Hyukjae and laid his head in his lap, startling the latter. Donghae was kind of sad the Kyuhyun couldn’t see Donghae happily in Hyukjae’s lap because he was behind them, but surely he had seen Donghae lay down.
If Donghae had stopped to think about it, he would’ve realized that their little jealousy game that was going on was incredibly childish and stupid. But when you’re playing the game, you don’t really realize it, you’re just obsessed with winning.
Well Hyukjae was not a playing, but he knew exactly what was going on, and he didn’t like it one single bit.
----------------------------------------
The club was crowded of course and Kyuhyun was beginning to feel the effects of having a little too much to drink. On several occasions, Zhou Mi would try to pull Kyuhyun out on the dance floor, and each time Kyuhyun would decline, Zhou Mi would order him another shot of vodka. After about 6 of those, Kyuhyun was practically pulling Zhou Mi towards the dance floor himself.
And then they danced. And damn, if everyone else wasn’t jealous of how they moved against each other, they had no sex drive.
Well. Donghae had one. But his temper was over-powering that right about now. Since when did Kyuhyun dance like that? Since when was he ever that…intimate with a guy, let alone in public.
Donghae had had enough and he grabbed Hyukjae’s hand, pulling him out onto the dance floor, ready to show Zhou Mi and Kyuhyun up.
They began to dance, and of course, when Hyukjae and Donghae dance, there will be a crowd. Kyuhyun looked to see what the groups of people next to him were watching. He stopped what he was doing. There was Donghae and Hyukjae, dancing like professionals (well, Hyukjae technically was a professional), all up on each other, grinding almost tastefully. No, Kyuhyun thought, they both look like whores.
Not having the desire to dance anymore, he walked towards the bar, fully intending on digesting a bit more alcohol. At some point, Zhou Mi had totally los Kyuhyun in the crowd of dancing bodies.
Kyuhyun didn’t really care as he found himself seated alone at the bar, a glass of some sort of blue alcohol in front of him.
Suddenly he felt a hand on the small of his back and he jumped.
“How about you and me get out of here?” a voice Kyuhyun had never heard before whispers in his ear.
“Huh?” Alcohol clouding your ability to comprehend things had never been more relevant.
“Come on,” the voice said, Kyuhyun dumbly following it, the hand on his back never going away. You tend to do stupid things when you’re drunk.
“Kyuhyun!” this time, a more familiar voice was calling his name.
The hand on his back left and a sharp intake of pained breathe was heard behind him. Kyuhyun was snapped out of his drunken daze and he turned around to see what was going on. The man who was trying to lead him out of the club’s wrist was grasped tightly in someone else’s hands and the two were glaring at eachother.
Kyuhyun was having a hard time figuring out who it was, although he knew they knew eachother.
“I suggest you keep your hands to yourself.”
Kyuhyun sobered up to the familiar voice and soon realized it was Donghae who had snatched the stranger’s hand away.
“I don’t think he had a problem with it.” The man said.
“That’s cuz he’s drunk you moron!”
They started to argue and Kyuhyun began to slowly step away from the two.
Just a little bit more, he said to himself.
And right before he could bolt, Donghae grabbed his arm, “You didn’t really say yes to leaving with this man did you?!”
Kyuhyun played the dumb card, “I’m sorry, in my drunken state I am not able to give a straight answer at this time, but if you wait a couple of hours I’d be happy to-“
“Oh shut up Kyuhyun, come on, let’s go.”
He allowed Donghae to pull him away only because he was drunk. That’s exactly why. No other reason whatsoever.
“I can’t believe you would just allow perverts to take advantage of you like that, especially men!”
Kyuhyun rolled his eyes, “Why do you care?”
Donghae stopped, “I…I don’t. But if you got raped, Zhou Mi would be sad and Hyukjae would be sad for Zhou Mi and I would be sad that Hyukjae was sad.”
Kyuhyun found himself rolling his eyes again, “Right.”
Donghae slapped Kyuhyun’s chest, “Just shut up Kyuhyun.”
“I didn’t say anything.”
“Yes you did!”
“Shut up Donghae.” Kyuhyun sat down at one of the booths, his head spinning and he was starting to feel slightly nauseous. What was he thinking walking off with some guy like that? He began to kneed at his temples, hoping to relieve some of the pressure that was building behind his skull. He barely register Donghae sitting down next to him.
Donghae was slightly concerned. But not a lot though, no of course not. Donghae didn’t have any more feelings for Kyuhyun, at all. He told himself this all day.
They sat their awkwardly for a few seconds before Donghae asked, “Are you okay?”
“I’ve had 6 shots of vodka tonight and I have a pounding headache. No. I am not okay.”
Donghae sighed and grabbed Kyuhyun’s neck, pulling him down into his lap. Kyuhyun didn’t resist only because he was exhausted and drunk. Those were the only reasons.
Donghae began to massage Kyuhyun’s temples, hoping to relieve at least some of his headache. Kyuhyun couldn’t remember when he had fallen asleep.
A/N: Oh gosh, this is sooooo late OTL. I've been working on this one sentence at a time(at like 2 in the morning while simultaneously scrolling through tumblr >.>) for like the past week which is probably why it's not that good OTL. I've been debating whether or not to just erase this whole thing and re-write it but then I figured that would take even more time and I didn't want to make you guys wait any longer. So here's chapter 8 and try not to pay too much attention to the crappiness of it!
