- shinee + solo ; jonghyun + iu
whether or not it's love, it's good enough for the both of them.
How it works:
1. Pick a character, pairing or fandom you like.
2. Put iTunes or equivalent media player on random.
3. For each song that plays, write something related to the theme you picked inspired by the song. You have only the time frame of the song: no planning beforehand: you start when it starts, and no lingering afterward; once the song is over, you stop writing. (No fair skipping songs either; you have to take what comes by chance!)
Perfection
There’s a reason why she’s known as Korea’s little sister.
Jonghyun’s fairly certain that behind that soft voice, awkward smiles, and shy demeanor there’s something definitely more. It’s not like he knows for certain, but he gets a feeling.
Because, let’s face it, no one is this perfect.
However, when he approaches her one day (after a music show and she’s just had her comeback on Inkigayo and he just happened to tag along with Minho), he finds out that her pureness is actually real.
Especially when she can’t seem to look him directly in the eyes.
Going Crazy
Scared out of her mind, Jieun doesn’t know where to turn to; her window blinds are shut and the front door is bolted locked but it’s still unable to chase the fear away.
Disgust and fear lurk in the depths of her mind and with shaking hands she grabs her phone from the night stand.
Intent on making a call, she can’t bring herself to push on the dial button.
There are a barrage of pounds on the front door along with shouts of IU, I love you! Please marry! and she lets out a blood-curdling scream, hands quickly reaching up to cover her ears.
It’s a split-second decision, but she hits call and starts crying, the salty tears streaming down her face as she attempts to explain the situation Jonghyun.
He can hear the pounding in the background and rushes out of his own dorm when he hears a shriek from the other end of the line.
Oh god, what do you want?! Get away from me! Oppa! Oppa?! Oppa-- beep beep beep.
Etude
Jieun smiles up at the sky, the sunshine warming her face just right as the early spring day becomes even more beautiful as the moments pass. Her feet tap lightly against the brick sidewalk in a beat similar to Good Day.
The wind is still fairly strong as the strands of hair become tangled around her face and the wait becomes worth-while when she sees Jonghyun at a distance, a bag in hand.
He waves enthusiastically at her, a brilliant smile lighting up his face.
비밀
His pencil taps against the music score in deep concentration, little lines forming on his forehead as she observes from across the table, head on her arms as a slight smile graces her lips.
Jonghyun looks up to see Jieun staring at him intently and immediately gives her a cheesy smile. Her expression becomes a hundred times brighter and he can’t help but feel a little smug about it.
But things don’t stay that way for long when her smile disappears and she looks so sad, as if a part of her heart is being taken. His smile disappears too, worry etched in his features.
He doesn’t know what to do when Jieun does this, especially when past memories are dragged from the depths of her mind.
She has a lot of secrets she can’t tell him.
Kissing You
A pretty blush spreads across her lovely face when his lips touch hers lightly. Jonghyun smiles into the kiss when he notices Jieun’s eyes squint shut even more.
Her hands are shaking slightly as they clutch the lapels of his blazer and in a comforting gesture he wraps his arms around her waist. Her hold on him never loosens.
It’s ridiculous how she can be so adorable, to the point that even Key points out that he’s seriously in love (“you look so much happier than when you were with Sekyung. I don’t even know why you went out with her in the first place.”)
Day By Day
Seconds, minutes, hours; the arms on the clock never seem to move fast enough. It’s as if time slows whenever you look at it, as if taunting you.
Utterly exhausted, Jieun throws herself into the nearest arm chair, feet propped up on a stool. In a few minutes she would be able to close up the shop and go home, shower, eat, and sleep.
Of course, a last minute shopper always comes in and Jieun let’s out an angry breath when she hears the bells jingle and makes her way back to the counter.
His name is Kim Jonghyun, she learns and he came by to quickly get something. An antique watch is what he purchases, an explanation of “it’s for my father.”
Though he doesn’t leave until he requests for her number. Jieun smiles at him, eyes sparkling, and hands him her business card with her cell phone number scrawled on the back.
a/n: forgive me for any mistakes! I tried beta-ing it myself, but some things might have slipped. anyways, not really sure why I wrote these. I guess i was in the mood to write (and that I realized that the last time Posted anything was over a month ago.) My personal favorite is Going Crazy though, haha.
