So. Pondering. It happens.

Jade turned two ten days ago. If you want to see video footage of it, then head over to the babies' youtube page. /user/agentburritomuffin and an added bonus of Anna trying to play Yoshi's Story. xD

After some persuasion between Ralph and a few other friends, I not only decided to continue "Angel's Food Cake", but to go with my original idea of it being a thriller. To go into the deep, dark backstory of the Fairess family that Gabriel mentioned while talking to Aurora the morning after he comes back. As just a romance, yeah after chapter one, it's kind of corny. No man returns after two years in real life. It works in mythology. But what if our hero had alterior motives? What was he doing in France?

Also, I'm turning it into a comic script. No, not a manga. A comic book like 100 Bullets. God I love 100 Bullets. Don't get me wrong, I like manga still, but I can't pretend to be what I'm not. I'm not Japanese. My character names aren't Japanese - Gabriel, Aurora, Jasper, Rita, Mae, Jimmy, Cheri, Reese, Mark. These are supposed to be people you could pass by on the street of anywhere, especially the little tourist trap, Seagull's Bay, California. Eric said once that a creator's story should carry some of the author's own culture. He doesn't like the whole over-saturation of OCs out there with Japanese names for no reason other than they're Japanese sounding and it makes them sound like they fell out of an anime. There's a part of me that wants a manga feel because that's what I'm exposed the most to, but I think there can be a happy medium. I want to achieve that medium. I want to have a moment where Aurora pretends she's jumping on a pound cake like a trampoline in the middle of her fantasy, but I also want dark and serious moments where Gabriel's intentions on bringing the Fairess family down can be portrayed. Oh I just spoiled that part... oops. Yeah, Gabriel and Aurora ARE the perfect lovebirds we all know them to be. I created them that way. Of course they are... muhahahaha, but I have something much more sinister planned now.

There's a trope I read about in the last few days about a "Title Salad" for titles of things that made no sense of seemed really random. I don't remember the exact name of the trope, but I realized that I am prone to that kind of naming for my projects all the damn time. Elemental Profit? Yeah! And that was a distopia! If you heard the name "Elemental Profit" somewhere, you'd have no idea it's supposed to be a post-apolcalyptic thriller set after aliens came and took over Earth when they won a war against humanity, would you? Oh crap I just spoiled that entire project's premise. Oh well. "Pieces of Blue Heaven" makes no sense except for the 'blue heaven' bit, since that's Alan's ship. Where does the 'pieces' fit in? Just wait! I have something BIG for that.

Eh.
