So, I went to SM Town in Paris on Friday evening (10th June). There were a lot of foreigners, given what happened about the tickets sales* and the fact that Paris was the only european concert, it was not surpriing.
Before I go speaking about the concert in details I have to say it was *really* good and I'm so, so, so glad that I was able to see Super Junior before my two favourites (Heechul et Leeteuk) leave for the army. I do admit I really wanted to go to see the 2nd concert but I already paid an exhuberant price for my ticket. I do really hope that I will be able to see them a second time before they actually leave, but I think this time was my only chance, and it's already waaaaaaaay better than nothing.
Also, I had two fans (uchiwa), one for Leeteuk, one for Heechul because I got told lightstick were not authorized in the concert venue, well security didn't mind, a lot of fans had them, I'm still pissed about it, I would have prefered a lightstick over the fans. Plus, I might have been a nuisance and blocked the view with my fans, I feel really sorry for that, I realised later when I went downstairs closer to the stage.
Goodies were quite expensive, as usual. Lightsticks weren't official goodies and I heard girls say they paid around 10€. The SM Town t-shirt was 25€, the SM Town bag 20€, each fan was 6€, something that was probably a folder filled with official photos costed from 18€ (TVXQ!) to 60€ (Super Junior), there was a SM town cup gourd for 10€ and few other things such as towels of which I didn't check the prices.
Also, the concert was apparenty sponsorised by the Korean Tourism Office, which explains the presence of people giving away "Visit Korea" flyers and the Visit Korea mascot. (Yes, I also took a picture with it XD, I have a never ending love for mascots)
The concert hall was Paris' Zenith which is a pretty popular concert venue in France. I would say it is a medium sized venue. For SM Town, they made the stage into an inverted Y shape.
So the concert started around 8pm with f(x) as the first singers, I think it was LA.CHA.TA (I didn't take note on song order, so I'm referring to my pics order and what I can remember, the semblant of setlist in this post is not 100% accurate). I can't say a lot about them except that they seem to really enjoy being on stage and that Amber definitely got the more cheers during her rap solo.
They sang another song that I can't remember before Krystal anounced a duet with her sister. Jessica came on stage and both girls sang Ke$ha's Tik Tok.
Then, it was Shinee's turn who sang amongst other Replay and Juliet.
Then Super Junior K.R.Y (Kyunhyun, Ryeowook, Yesung) sang Sorry Sorry Answer. Given the screams I think Super Junior fans/ELF were the more numerous -although TVXQ! did receive a more than warm welcome later but I think most of the other groups fan also like TVXQ! and acknowledge their talents and well, know them-
After K.R.Y, they aired an extractt from Lady Gaga and Beyonce's Telephone music video, and a person disguised in Lady Gaga appeared back to us and I was like "OMG Heechul" *waves fan and scream*, Heechul did his little performance before Beyonce's Single Lady music started with 3 guys in black dresses with their back to us : Leeteuk, Eunhyuk and Shindong. I was pretty happy they did these performances because I was not expecting them at SM Town. Following their antics they did some not so dress friendly dance move (well my eyes were following Leeteuk most of the time, I have to admit that much)
Lady Heechul then rejoinced them for the end of the performance for Beyonce's Crazy in Love.
Then, it was Seohyun and Kyuhyun duet. I don't know the song but it was a ballad song duet that they ended holding hands.
Then it was SNSD turn to appear and they did Run Devil Run
They might also have sang a song I didn't know at this point but I'm not so sure about it, anyway, they introduced themselves. Hyoyeon was surprisingly the one receiving the most cheers and even herself seemed genuinely surprised about it. Her reaction to this was quite cute. Ah! And for the legs things, well, apart from Sooyoung who has very long and thin legs, I found their legs normal. Their performance were good but I have to say that if we compare to the other band they seem to have the less fun on stage, maybe their past experience made them this way, and given the reaction STAND gave them for anything they did (and still do), they are more reserved. Hyoyeon, Sunny and Tiffany though seemed to really enjoy themselves and had big smiles. Jessica too, but she was often out of my vision line. And I love Tiffany american accent, she is very easy to understand and she talked quite a bit.
Shinee then came back to sing erm.. Ring Ding Dong if I go by the colour of the costumes on my picture.
So, then Super Junior came on stage and they sang the Korean version of Super Girl, so I already was pretty sure that Henry and Zhou Mi would't be there. Well, they weren't. My pictures are so obviously Leeteuk focused - and not so good quality shot, sadly- it hurts. They also say No Other.
I think they introduced themselves at this point, Eunhyuk had prepared something in French expect that he totally forgot a word and had to unfold his paper, and Sungmin was peaking over his shoulder and totally laughing at him. me too, his face was priceless. Heechul made us say "Sarang hae yo Kim Heechul! Wooyoubitgal Kim Heechul!" except it might have failed with most european fans (that includes me, I caught up at the second part what he was saying) who are not used to it. Eunhyuk and Leeteuk talked about the flashmob, thanking the organisors and participants and telling us to call them next time we want to do such a thing, other countries who want a concert now you know what to do XD. I think it was Yesung who answered that rather than doing a flashmob he would rather visit Paris and the Louvre. Also Leeteuk asked in French "Do you want to call me" twice before taking a girl cellphone and taking a picture with it, I have no idea if he really did it or not but the girl was lucky already. If he was Japanese he would be called K.Y.
Then SNSD came back with two songs I didn't know and then Super Junior came back again with Miracle and Dancing Out, SNSD sang Genie and f(x) NU ABO. I that time I was trying to go downstairs closer, so no pictures. (also, above Super Junior pictures are most likely misplaced as they really look like Sorry Sorry choreo). And then Super Junior came back again with the concert version of Sorry Sorry and the rock version of Don't Don, which totally totally rocked. Heechul had a rap solo in the middle of the song.
f(x) then came back with a song I did not know and then Shinee came back again with Hello, Ready or Not and A.MI.GO
Then SNSD came back with Hoot and Oh!
