Long entry ahoy
Since I havent posted properly in a week, here tis. Now with LJ cuts for your convenince ...
Last Saturday was Adrian's birthday. His presents didnt arrive, unfortunately, but I gave him his gag gifts .... a candle for his office (cause it gets stuffy in there) and four boxes of Girl Scout cookies, one o which is gone already. Id hope to give him a new cookie jar (as Arnie broke our old one, the little shit), but Ive yet to find one I like.
We went to Winter Park, as Adrian desired, and we saw Jeff, Donna, and co as expected. It was a nice day. The boys met up in the morning, and I talked to Donna. I like her a lot, and Julianna was pretty good. In the afternoon, I talked ot Jeff a bit, but then Adrian gave up on skiing. We ended up at a Chinese place for lunch -- cant recall the name -- but they make a nice crispy duck. I bit on a bone, however, and Im still having tooth pain. Ah, well. We came home and relaxed, and that was that day pretty much.
Sunday was not too exciting. I had a technique class on balsamic with Jo Ann, which was interesting. I learned about different vinegars, and I dont fear them quite so much. To me, cooking with balsamic before was a a major hassle cause it stunk so bad. We did laundry and TV ... nothing exciting.
Monday through Wednesday went. The keyword here is BORING ... as Adrian was out of town. I did my usual ... errands, housework, and shopping, Nothing to report.
Adrian took off Thursday and Friday, partly cause he was having some dental work done on Thursday. We did a lot of going around to shops. See, hes got a plan for remodeling the kitchen -- both looking forward and not looking forward to that one -- so we looked at things for that to get ideas. Other than that, it was the usual food and errands. We did go to TGI on Friday before work (my work, that is, as he was off) for dinner. Work wasnt stressful at all, which made me glad.
We went to Winter Park once again on Saturday, but Adrian gave up pretty early, much to my happiness as I wasnt feeling well. We hit OTB on the way home and did a bunch of TV and some drinks in the evening. He watched the Nuggets, and I slept, mostly. I dunno, Basketball sends me to la la land.
And that brings us back to doe ... I mean today. I have a knife skills technique class in a few hours as well as some money to spend at both Eddie Bauer and Best Buy. Not sure what we are doing as 'the man' isnt up ... although I should wake him shortly.
Guess thats about it. Boring, mostly, but what can you do?
