that one meme ...

... you know, the first sentence or so of each month? Well, here tis my version, 07 style.

January 1: Do you ... Netflix? And if you do, riddle me this ...how do they handle multi disc situations?

Ah, has it really been a year that Ive been Netflixing? Great little service, that. And I like how they handle TV shows, so its all good.

February 1: health update of sorts. So after undergoing two different scopings of my GI tract, everything appears to be normal. This would be good news if not for the fact that I was still having abdominal pain.

This was my first round of the abdominal pain stuff ... proving that some things never change. I guess its just something I have to deal with from time to time. Meh.

March 2: Emsam, Day 1 Talked to my friend I emailed twice since I wrote my last entry. I dont feel great about it, but its something.

This entry was two fold ... I was finally off the two weeks of no anti depressants -- not a fun time, and it proves to me how much I need to be medicated -- as well as recovering from a situation with Andy. I wrote him how depressed I was, and he was a comfort, as always. On this particular day, I finally talked to him real time, but it wasnt a great convo. It got better, though ... thats pretty much why hes my guardian angel.

April 2: oops Weekend was ... interesting. Friday afternoon, we drove up to the Gasthaus Eichler to stay overnight before Adrian went skiing on Saturday.

The infamous Gasthaus Eichler trip ... it wasnt that the room wasnt nice, but dont advertise a full size bed as a queen. This was also the trip Adrian forgot his ski clothes (hence the oops) so he had to get some new ones. Got a really good deal on them, from what I recall, so it was all good in the end.

May 1: making some progress Dad and I went through Mom's lists, and I started going through her drawers. I split up some clothes with my brothers (although Andrew isnt home yet).

This was during my trip back to Philadelphia to help my family go through Mom's things. Mom made lists of what was where before she died -- she always was organized like that -- so it made it easy to find things I wanted to have. It was a pretty sad time, though, although it was also Dad's 70th birthday, so we had a nice dinner at the Towne House ... Dad, my brothers, our godmother Sarah, and me.

June 1: quandries abound Talked to Adrian last night. He wants me to go for the PR job. Im going to meet Donna -- shes the woman who would hire me -- when Im out in Chicago.

This was before the summer trip to Chicago when Adrian went to the conference with Mirapoint. In the end, the job interview didnt even happen. When I talked to Donna just casually about her firm, she made it abundantly clear she wasnt interested in entry level, that she was always looking for writers who would be able to jump right in without training. So I pretty much abandoned even pursuing it, which Im happier for. I think it would have been the wrong fit for me working remotely, anyway.

July 1: Mod meeting, AV buying spree, possible job, yet another purge, family room starting soon Moderator meeting went well. Theres some news to announce, but as I dont know if any Boolpropians read this journal (beside Steph, that is), I cant say just yet. I wil when its announced.

This was a long entry, but the first bit was about a mod meeting with the other staff of boolprop.com. I think this was the meeting when I got promoted to global moderator.

August 2: Has everyone gotten everything? This is for those who recently purchased games from me.

First sentence pretty much explains it all ... it was a shout out to those who had bought off some of my old RPGs.

September 3: a meme, yanked from Bobble DIRECTIONS: Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like.

This was the 'in turn, Ill ask you five questions, and then you post this in your LJ' meme. Didnt have a lot of takers, but it was fun nontheless.

October 1: anyone know (PSP related) Adrian is having some sort of issue with multi disc PSX games ...converting them to a PSP format. Is there some sort of utility I need?

This was after Adrian decided to give his old iPod to me -- after the Nano went missing ... still havent found that booger -- and bought himself a PSP. He eventually talked to someone in the Springs, and we got it sorted out ... although we still havent figured out how to save the dang games. I think theres a new firmware rev that allows for that, so I need to get on him to sort that out.

November 1: Up way too early. Halloween was mixed. I had fun going next door to Tony and Michelle's, but there were very few kids this year ... much less than last year. Put it this way, I ran out of candy last year. This year, I have a lot left. Joy. >_<

It was a really bad Halloween this year. Dunno if it was too cold or the fact it was a Wednesday that kept kids away. Then again, Im not much for Halloween, which is why I went to Tony and Michelle's ... that and Adrian was out of town (of course).

December 4: Well, booger ... ... home alone again. This kinda sucks.

Welcome to my December ... Adrian was gone, and I was fighting pain in my abdomen that never did get diagnosed. Best bet was all the narcotics I took for the fall and the dental surgery.

So, there you have it. Its kind of an interesting way to review the year, aint it? Interesting that, for the most part, it hit the major events of the year, or at least made reference to them. Funny how things seem to fall near the first of the month ...
