Kiri's Night-time Adventure- a.k.a. how she got to ride in an ambulance
At about 1:30 last night kiri was up reading. she likes to read(yes, yes, nerdy i know) and on the weekends usually is up late doing so. At around this time(1:30) the phone rang. Two thoughts went through her head: 1) who ever that is better have a bloody good reason for calling. and 2) omg! it's my grandmother, she's hurt!
As it happened the latter was correct. Her grandmother had fallen and hurt herself and was calling for help. Kiri went into her parent's room and woke them up and then got dressed and dashed with her mother, to the car so they could go to her grandmother's house.
Once there they realized that they couldn't really help her they called 911 and had the paramedics come to help. Kiri then got to ride with her grandmother in the ambulance to the hospital. this was at around 2:30-ish.
When they got to the hospital the nurse came and eventually the doctor came and looked at her grandmother. They then carted her grandmother off to get x-rays taken as she was complaining that her ribs hurt. When they went off kiri was left behind and dozed with her head on her lap in a chair for a bit. Finally about two and a bit hours later they left the hospital, w/grandma in tow, to take her home as she had only bruised ribs.
When they got home it was 5:30 and Kiri went and colapsed on the couch, and slept there for a few hours while in her coat and with a blanket.
kiri is now very very tired.
