I still haven't fully recovered from the flare-up that started in December. I did some research last night and I found a few articles and a book (which I bought the e version of and read) that suggested juicing and a vegan diet. The book claims to have the cure for colitis but the diet is so strict that I find it unlikely to follow. Basically no animal by-products, no beans, no grains, and mostly no cooking. It was nearly frutarian (raw food diet). Thinking about my flare-ups and habits it seems that I consume way too much dairy and not enough veggies. So, I am going to try cutting out most animal products that I still consume. The only things that I may consider on occasion are yogurt and eggs. So, I technically won't be full vegan. But for my just cutting out cheese and milk is a HUGE deal. I'm looking forward to feeling better and myself again!
