Iraq/Iran

It's funny how words from other languages get muddled when Americans try to say them, and don't care about pronouncing them properly. My grandfather was from Iraq, and my grandmother from Iran, so it always irritates me when I hear people say I-raq and I-ran. The way they are supposed to be pronounced is more of an "E" sound, E-raq and E-ran. This has bugged me for a long time, but today it made me laugh. I saw a MadTV clip where the took advantage of these poor pronounciations.
