Yesterday's boredom is long forgotten. I had a busy (in a good way) day!
I started off my day by doing some grocery shopping only after having a Coconut Mocha Soy Frost at a local coffee shop. I went to Fresh & Easy Market because they always have excellent deals on fruits and veggies which are in great condition. Then I headed to Trader Joe's for various other items and decided to try this out.
It is everything you need to make fresh guacamole. I had seen it before, but it never interested me much until today.
Then I went to Fry's to get the rest of the things on my list, including Vital Wheat Gluten to make seitan.
After shopping I met
nickyad for lunch at Olive Garden. We had a super chat. I *heart* her.
I came home and did a serious clean of the kitchen and all the cabinets. Weeee! Cleaning made me famished so I prepared the guacamole from Trader Joe's.
Yum! Fresh and delicious. My little brother loved it as well.
I have been drooling over pretty much everything that VeganDad creates and I wanted to try making seitan. Well, I decided to start simple and make some basic "chicken" with alfredo sauce. Unfortunately dinner is past over and the seitan is still cooking. But the alfredo was AMAZING! I've tried making "real" alfredo with cream and everything, and was disappointed with the results. This came out tasting just like restaurant alfredo. It even had a buttery taste to it. Josh even liked and ate it!
I topped mine with a diced tomato from
nickyad 's fabulous garden.
