this escalating trend will never end

le siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh

Did something today that I haven't done in many many many moons.

I shopped.

I don't mean I ran into the mall to grab this one thing. I mean I went into many many stores and walked out with bags from five of them. Admittedly, the pants, shirt and shoes that I bought were all work-related, but there existed also the joy of a necklace and pair of shoes for the Halloween costume, a new pretty rose ring, amazingly adorable swing dancing shoes, new body splash scent for winter (japanese cherry blossom from B&B Works), and a new book from Mercedes Lackey. Everything but the book was on sale, so my shopping guilt is 50% off, too! ^_^

Also, I feel that I should confess the blonde moment I had yesterday. Well, technically it's a blonde moment that I've been having for the past two years, that ended yesterday. The brightening of a dim bulb, if you will. One of the girls at work and I were discussing a song on the muzak. Leslie pointed out that the song (whatever it was) was a good one, but she preferred the original by Joni Mitchell. I stop, my jaw drops, and the light bulb goes off. So *that's* the pun in Joni Minstrel's name! *head smack* Having realized this, and subsequently realizing that it took two years for this to come to my attention, I fail.

oh well ^_^
