This tutorial looks translatable to me, which is not to say that I'm going to translate it. :) The main thing, though, is someone trying to do the effect you achieve with the Supernova filter might be able to imitate it with Photoshop's Lens Flare, or another filter that produces a similar effect. Lens Flare isn't exactly like Supernova, but I think it's close enough to be useful in translation.
:D It's good to know. The main reason I used Supernova is that it's a nice, clean flare to be used both for smudging and nonsmudging. Besides, Supernova owns my soul. :D
