Umma, Appa... Where Are You? |
Changmin's Early Love Education “Minnie baby, where will you going?” Yunho asked his baby boy while kneeling in front of him, stopping him right exactly before Changmin leaves the house with a small soccer ball in his arms. It's three in the afternoon.
“Oopss... Sorry, Appa, Minnie forgets to tell you… Minnie wants to go to the play park. Jaejoong-hyungie promised Min to play soccer together with him.”
Yunho smiled, ruffling Changmin’s hair affectionately. “Have you tells umma about this? He’ll be worried if you’re not…”
The boy nodded cutely. “Yes, appa… Minnie has told umma.”
“Okay then… Be a good boy and don’t hurt yourself while playing with hyungie, alright? And remember you have to be home before five o’clock, if you don’t know the time you can look at the big clock inside the play park that appa showed you the other day.”
“Okay, appa. Minnie promise will be a good boy.”
“That’s my Minnie, now give appa a kiss.” Yunho pointed his own cheeks with his finger to Changmin.
Little Changmin put his ball down on the floor before he cupped Yunho’s cheeks with his small hands and kissed his appa on both side of his cheeks.
Yunho smiled and finally he let his son picked up his ball and running off to play with his hyungie.
“Is he gone, yet?” Yoochun asked behind him as he turned around and sending him a smile.
“Yes… He really so happy to play with his Jaejoong-hyungie…” Yunho told his wife, moving to their living room with Yoochun walked beside him.
“Are you complaining, now?” Yoochun was positioning himself to sit beside his husband and leaning on his shoulder.
“No… but lately he preferred to play with that Jaejoong kid rather than to play with his Appa.” He was pouting.
Yoochun laughed on Yunho’s behavior as he pinched his nose. “Yunho, you’re being jealous over a six years old kid, you know? And you were acting like a protective father to his daughter when she has a boyfriend. How cute…”
“Omooo, what are you saying, Chunnie? Our Changmin still four years old.” He exclaimed.
“That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you, they are just kid, Yunho, and Jaejoong is a good boy. I have met his father, Kim Junsu-sshi. He was a nice person.”
“Oh please don’t tell me that you’re interested in his father as well?” His husband pursed his lips, pouting really hard now.
Yoochun laughed. “Aigooo, you’re such a pabo. He’s a straight man, and I already have you as my loving husband and I love you only, you know that.”
Yunho grinned at this. “Better be like that.” He kissed his wife.

“Yunho… did you tell Changmin that he has to go home before five?”
“Yeah.. why?”
“It’s 5.45 and he’s not home yet, I’m worried. He never disobeyed what we told him before.”
“Ah… now you said that, I’m not aware of the time. Okay you wait here, I’ll look for him.” Yunho said as he took his jacket, leaving Yoochun who yelled at him to call if he finds Changmin. Yunho walked on the street, slightly jogging to the play park direction. It’s getting dark and he was hoping that there’s nothing bad happened to his baby boy, that he just forgetting about time and still playing happily.
When he entered the play park, the place was already empty. The panic attack rushed through him again.
“Changmin! Changmin-ah! Baby, this is appa. Can you hear me?”
Silent. Yunho moved deeper and called for his baby boy again.
“Minnie!!!”
“Appa!!” Yunho turned around and see his baby boy running towards him from the opposite direction. Crying.
“Oh God, baby.” He knelt to take Changmin’s extended arms and pulled him to his chest.
“Appa.. appa…”
“Baby, you made your appa and umma so worried. Where have you been? Did appa told you to go home before five? And why do you crying? Are you hurt?”
The boy’s sobbing. “H-hyungie didn’t come to play, Appa, and Minnie waited for him, and it’s dark Minnie was afraid.”
“Omoo… It’s okay, baby. Why didn’t you come home when you know that hyungie wasn’t coming?”
“But hyungie promised to-to Min that he will come a-and told Minnie to wait. Minnie was a good boy so Minnie kept Minnie’s promise to hyungie to wait.”
“Aigoo, baby, come on lets go home to your Umma, okay?”
The boy nodded, rubbing his puffy eyes.
Yunho lifted him in his arms and take him home to awaiting Yoochun who ran towards them when he noticed that Yunho was back with his son.
“Oh Minnie!!” He took Min into his arms and the boy hugging him tightly. “Umma was so worried about you. Where have you been?” He said, holding his baby boy while rubbing his back.
“That Jaejoong kid wasn’t coming to play and Minnie kept waiting for him. I’m really mad now at that kid.”
“Omooo… It’s okay, baby, maybe hyungie can’t make it today, you can play with him again tomorrow, don’t cry, okay?”
Yoochun still holding Changmin when their house phone ringing. He gave Changmin to Yunho and ran to get the phone.
“Yeoboseyo… Jung’s residence, with Yoochun speaking..”
“Ah… Yoochun-sshi… This is me, Kim Junsu.” Yoochun raised his eyebrow.
“Ah yes, can I help you?”
“Ehm… My son, Jaejoong, he got a fever this morning and sleeping a whole day, but when he woke up ten minutes ago, he started to cry and insisted that he had to go playing soccer with Changmin, your son.”
“Oh is that so… How is he now?”
“The fever still not going down, but he kept telling us that he wanted to go, because he had promised to your son and he told us that maybe Changmin still waits for him.”
“Ah… about that, yeah Changmin was really waiting for him alone at the park, until a few minutes ago my
husband went to pick him up.” Yoochun told him.
“Omoo, I’m really sorry about that. You must be so worried.”
“Yes… But that’s okay, we just glad that he’s okay.”
“Um, Yoochun-sshi, can I ask a help from you?”
Yoochun quirked an eyebrow but he was curious, “What can I help you?”
“Can you take Changmin here to see Jaejoong? It’s so difficult to calm him down.”
“Oh… No problem. I’ll go with him.” Yoochun smiled.
“Oh thank you so much, Yoochun-sshi. It’s really a big help and for that I would like to invite you and your husband for a dinner if you don’t mind.”
“Ah thank you very much for your kindness, Junsu-sshi, but you don’t have to. It’s nothing, Minnie will be happy to see Jaejoong too.” Yoochun said.
“No… Please, I insist.”
Yoochun smiled even though the man at the other side can’t see it. “Okay, we’ll be there. Thank you, Junsu-sshi.” He said again before they ended the conversation with the promise to take his baby to visit Jaejoong.
“Who is it?” Yunho asked, cradling his Changmin in his arms as the boy eating a cookie Yunho gave to him.
Yoochun smiled and explained the situation he just heard from Jaejoong’s father.
“You’re going to take him now?”
“Yes, I felt really bad, and Jaejoong must be wanted to see Changmin.. oh and he's inviting us for a dinner.”
Yunho sighs, feelings that he can’t do anything about this.
“Now, Min-ah, do you still want to meet hyungie?”
Changmin’s face lit up as he nodded. “Can I umma?”
“Yes, baby.” He said to his baby boy and kissed his nose.
“I want to see him. Yay!!”
Yunho and Yoochun smiled. Their son was cheerful again knowingly that he could meet with his favorite hyung. They took them to the supermarket first, telling Changmin that they need to buy something for Jaejoong since he was sick.
Changmin was so enthusiasm. “Umma we should buy hyungie chocolate. Min lovesss chocolate, and Min thinks that a sick hyungie has to eat chocolate to get better.”
“Are you sure baby?”
The boy nodded as he smiled brighter. Yoochun ruffled his hair and picking a few bars of chocolate. When they were done, they were back to the car where Yunho was waiting and went straight to Jaejoong’s house.
When they got there, Junsu was already waiting for them.
“Ah… Yoochun-sshi… Please come inside.”
“Thank you… Junsu-sshi, this is my husband, Yunho. Yunho this is Jaejoong’s father.”
“It’s nice to meet you, Yunho-sshi.”
“Nice to meet you too, Junsu-sshi.” They were shaking hands as they went inside.
They met with Junsu’s wife and according to Yunho and Yoochun, she was really nice and also a very beautiful woman. No wonder that Jaejoong’s face was pretty even though he is a boy.
“Uncle Junsu, where’s Jaejoong-hyungie?” Min asked innocently as he tugged the fabric of Junsu’s pants.
“Ah… there you are sweetie… come on, I’ll take you to him.” Junsu smiled to the four years old kid as he took his small hand in his big one, while Yunho and Yoochun were being lead to Kim’s living room by Junsu’s wife.
“Uncle, is hyungie really sick?”
“Hmm, yes, he is sick, but if he knows that you are here to visit him, he will get better.”
Changmin nodded, giving Jaejoong’s father his famous mismatched eyes while smiling. “Aigooo… How could this kid be so cute?” He told himself as he pinched Changmin’s chubby cheek lightly.
Junsu take Changmin to the second floor where Jaejoong’s room was. Junsu opened one of the doors and let Changmin in first.
“Hyungie!!!” Changmin beamed impatiently running towards Jaejoong’s bed where the boy was sitting and playing with his toy robot. He bounced the present he bought with his umma earlier in his arms.
“Minnie!!” Jaejoong’s eyes lit up to see the smaller boy came to visit him. He tosses the toy aside as he welcomed Changmin’s presence delightfully. He was really happy and Junsu chuckled happily looking at the sight, leaning at the door framed while watching the two best friends hugging to each other.
“Hyung… This present is for you…” Changmin shoved the presents to Jaejoong who happily accept it. He climbed on the bed and positioning himself beside Jaejoong.
“Aww… Thank you, Minnie-ah.”
The boy nodded. “Minnie told Umma that a sick hyungie needs to eat chocolate to get better, so Minnie came to give this chocolate to hyungie.”
“Uhm… Hyungie will eat it later.”
Junsu then entered the room and walked towards the two kids. “Jaejoong, Changmin, stay here for a while okay. Uncle needs to go downstairs first and I’ll call you when it’s the time for having dinner. Changmin won’t you stay with Jaejoong and take care of him until uncle is returns?”
Changmin nodded enthusiastically, “Uhm, don’t worry uncle Junsu, Minnie will take care of hyungie, because hyungie always took care of Minnie and Minnie promise that Minnie will be a good boy and won’t make hyungie tired.” He exclaimed.
Junsu laughed heartily at the boy’s cute remark. “Okay… okay, Uncle Junsu will be back in a bit. Jaejoong be good to Changmin, okay?”
“Okay, appa.”
With a short kiss on Jaejoong’s and Changmin’s cheeks, Junsu went out, left the two children playing with their own.
“Minnie… Hyungie is sorry that hyungie broke the promise to play with you today. You must be waiting for hyung at the park.”
Changmin shook his head. “Minnie did waiting for hyungie until the sky is really really dark and the park is scaaary, but then appa came to pick Minnie up. But don’t worry hyungie, Minnie is not angry, Umma told Minnie that hyungie is sick and can not play with Minnie outside.”
“Oh Minnie… Hyungie is sorry for making you wait alone and making you scared.” Jaejoong patted Changmin’s hair lovingly. “Now Hyungie promise when hyungie is healthy again, hyungie will play with Minnie as long as Minnie wants and hyungie will always be with Minnie forever and will never leave Minnie. And Hyungie promise that hyungie won’t break promise to Minnie again.” Jaejoong said, looking to his dongsaeng’s big round eyes that he liked so much.
“Really, hyungie? Hyungie will always play with Minnie and will never leave Minnie forever?” Changmin’s eyes sparkled with the light of happiness.
“Yes. Pinky promise!” Little Jaejoong exclaimed as he raised his pinky finger in front of Changmin who tilted his head and quirking his eyebrow in confusion.
“Pinky promise? What is pinky promise?” He asked.
“Appa taught me. If you promise to someone, you have to seal it with pinky promise, so that the promise will be kept forever and if you break the promise you will get punished.” Jaejoong explained to the smaller boy.
“Oh… okay then. Pinky promise!!” Changmin beamed, raising his own pinky to hook it with Jaejoong’s.
“Pinky promise! Pinky promise, Jaejoong and Minnie will be together forever!” Jaejoong sang and they laughed in unison after that.
“What are you doing, boys?” Junsu was back inside Jaejoong's room.
“We’re just having a pinky promise, appa.” His son told him.
“About what?” He asked again curiously.
“Jaejoong-hyungie promised Minnie that we will be together forever.” Changmin explained excitedly.
”Omoo aren’t you two so cute?” He said at the two boys, grinning so hard at the innocent promise that these kids just made. “Come on, we’ll have our dinner now. You’re hungry right?”
“Yes.” Jaejoong and Changmin cooed in unison, making Junsu chuckled, but he can’t stop smiling staring at the two boys. He took their hands and guided them to the dinning room where his wife, Yunho and Yoochun were waiting.
When he observed Jaejoong, again, Junsu was relief. His son appeared to be looking so healthy since Changmin came, and he was glad that he asked Yoochun to bring his son to meet Jaejoong. Junsu thought gratefully as he was sure that this two little kids in his hands will become the very best friends ever.
