Italics=Flashback

Yunho glanced to his wristwatch. It shows a quarter past two. There were already ten minutes since he arrived, and he had been observed the situation around the club from behind the tinted window of his car.

The club was yet to be opened and according to his observation, Yunho didn’t see anyone coming or leaving the club. The alley was empty, saved for a luxurious white van which was parked at the front of the club. No people, not even vehicles were passing by, even though it was still in the afternoon, emphasizing the solitude of this area of Seoul City. The club was built in the most desolated and roughest part of the town. It was the kind of environment that people would like to avoid, because walking around a place like this, where the possibility of witnessing a crime scene, wasn’t a nice option. Yep, it was one of those dark and dangerous places although it was yet day.

Yunho can feel it. He didn’t know why, but he knew Changmin was inside. It might be an instinct or maybe the love for Changmin had led him there. Oh well, way to be a sap, Jung Yunho-ssi. He chuckled to himself but his face suddenly hardened in all seriousness as the adrenaline that was inside of him had been urging him to move, to look for Changmin and get him out of there as soon as possible. Patience was running thin in his guts as he tapped his fingers on the steering wheel nervously. He really needed to do something and waiting like this would only make him running out of time. He can’t waste any more time, because only God knew what they could have done to his Changmin inside and he can’t let bad things happen to Changmin.

He took a deep breath as he gathered his courage, closing his eyes. When he opened them again, he was ready.

Yunho got out from his car and headed towards the club. He glanced to his left and right and then to his back as he placed one of his hand on the door knob, ready to open it. He pushed the door and the anticipation was burning his nerves at the thought that he could be caught doing this. He released his breath as soon as the door swung opened. There was no one in sight in the club, but he didn’t lower his guard. His main objective was to retrieve Changmin and bring him home. He didn’t have time to hesitate and just prepared himself for everything that might happen in reaching his goal.

He moved forward, carefully swinging the closed door. Inside the club it was a little dark, but the soft illumination of the dim lightening was enough for him to see his surrounding and watch his steps. His eyes roamed to every corner of the club and straight to the empty dance floor. Chairs were flipped over on the tables. Stools were neatly arranged in the corner, beside the bar, where glasses and liquor bottles were stacked together. He was cautious in every step that he had taken but his slender legs stepped firmly on the ground, never hesitating though his heart was thrumming so fast against his ribcage and every fiber of his being was wide awake to everything around him. Every nerve inside him was awake as if in his conscious mind he could feel everything, even the slight brush of air conditioning against his skin, causing him to shiver at the slight coolness.  But he reminded himself to stay still as he sharpened his hearing, trying to find any sound within the silence, that - he hoped - would lead him to where Changmin was.

Yunho moved deeper inside the club. He found a corridor where there were two rows of rooms with closed-doors, on his left and right sides: three rooms on each side. Yunho tried the door that was closest to him and found that it wasn’t locked. He peered inside, instantly knowing what was the room for. A queen sized bed with a crumpled white sheet and a drawer next to it were the evidences of various male whoring themselves and being fucked senseless in every available surface of the room. Disgust was written all over his face as he closed the door.

He sighed. What did he expect? It was a gay club after all.

Then he felt very sick. God, somehow he didn’t want to open the rest of the rooms, terrified to the thought of finding Changmin in one of those rooms in a condition that he couldn’t even imagine. But he must. Whatever the condition was, he needed to bring Changmin out of there. So, with the fear in his heart, he began to explore the rest of the rooms, one by one. The next one was empty and so was the next. He continued up to the last room and silently thanked God when he found that it was as empty as the others.

Yunho stopped for a while and leaned against the nearest wall, just to breathe. He tried hard to calm himself and forced his brain to think. So far, the club was empty. Not a single glimpse of human figures was caught by his eyes, and no matter how hard he tried to listen to any sound, the place was too silent that the only thing that he could hear were the beats of his heart thumping so loud in his chest.

Doubt invaded his mind. Was Changmin really here? What if Changmin had return to the café and Yunho was just wasting his time to look for him here? After all, he didn’t want to get charged for trespassing someone’s property without permission.

Yunho checked his pocket for his cellphone and he cursed silently when he didn’t find it. He remembered that he left that damn phone in his car.

Great! That was just great! Now what?!

Yunho cursed once again for his foolishness. If only he had his phone, he would be able to contact Junsu and check whether Changmin had or hadn’t returned. Well, he could just go back to his car to retrieve his phone, but he couldn’t take the risk. It would be good if Changmin would have been gone back to the cafe, but what if he hadn’t? Then he would have to come back here and risk of being caught by the club’s owner. He could get in serious problems by doing so.

Sighing deeply, Yunho decided that the best would be to keep searching around the club, first just to confirm Changmin’s presence inside this place. If he wouldn’t find him, he would leave as soon as possible and call Junsu. Oh God! It would be better if Changmin to wander around the town, even though Yunho had wasted his time here. He wouldn’t care, as long as the younger boy would be safe.

Yunho closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before turning to his left. There, he found another room, in the corner, straight forward. Before opening the door, he pressed his ear against it, trying to hear a sound or a signal. He was ready to step away when he suddenly caught a soft whimper coming out from the room. Sensing that it was Changmin, Yunho opened the unlocked door without any other thought and rushed inside, not even taking into consideration to prepare himself for whatever situation he might be facing.

Surprisingly, the room was bigger than Yunho had imagined. Also empty, and he guessed that it was a storage room judging by so many boxes placed in there and abandoned. The light wasn’t too bright, just a weak illumination from the small lamp hung lowly from the ceiling. On the right side, there was a wooden table, and a chair flipping down. Yunho’s eyes were roaming any area of the room, and soon his eyes landed on a figure lying on the floor, arms and legs tied with ropes. His breath caught. Changmin!!

“Changmin!!” Yunho screamed and rushed towards the boy. He knelt down beside his lover, releasing him from the rope that had been tying his arms and legs moments ago. And then he lifted his body slightly, to cradle him on his lap. When the boy’s face was exposed, Yunho gasped as he looked at Changmin’s face. His hands soon found their way to caress Changmin’s cheeks. His body was so weak with both arms limped at both sides of his body. His livid eyes were closed. His cheeks were painted with a couple of purplish bruises and blood was trickling down from his temple. He had his lower lip cut into a small wound. Yunho couldn’t bear to see his lover, his Changmin, hurt and bruised like this. It seemed that he’d been beaten up so badly.

“Minnie… Baby, can you hear me?” Yunho whispered worriedly.

Changmin’s eyes fluttered open heavily and he gazed up weakly to meet Yunho’s worried expression. “Yun-ho?”

“Yes, baby, it’s me. Are you okay?”

Changmin winced a little bit. “Hurt-my body is… hurt.” he told Yunho, lifting his right hand to clutch on Yunho’s shirt and naturally Yunho caught that hand, gently squeezing it in comfort.

Yunho examined him very carefully and looking to his bruises, Yunho knew that they were new, and he thought that whoever hurt Changmin like this, they were still around here somewhere. And if Yunho wouldn’t move fast, they might come back and both, he and Changmin, would be in so much trouble.

“Sshh… It’s okay, baby… You’re okay, and I’ll get you out from here. Come on, can you stand on your feet?”

Not waiting for Changmin’s answer, Yunho hooked Changmin’s arm on his shoulder and his own hand found its way to Changmin’s waist to support him and help him stand on his feet. The boy let out a moan of pain and whimpered one more time.  Yunho helped his limping body guiding him throughout the storage room while whispering a lot of comforting words to Changmin’s ear. He brought them through the corridor, through the dancing floor and soon they would reach the exit door.

Yunho was really glad that they soon would go out from that damn place and they were nearly getting to the door. But, before they could reach the door, a big guy suddenly entered the club and blocked their way out.

Yunho’s heart raced very fast and he cursed mentally when more people came in through the door. He tightened his grip protectively on Changmin’s body and took a step back, giving them a threatening glare while gazed at them one by one. Their looks looked exactly like those people who beat Changmin at the night Yunho met Changmin for the first time: heartless faces and tyrannical look.

The door opened again to reveal the last man coming in. This one smaller than the others. He walked slowly inside. He seemed to be someone very important and the other guys showed him great respect. The man wasn't older than 27, with a strong appearance, eyes sharp with high and sharp cheekbones, full lips curved with a smirk at the corner of his mouth and the back of his left hand painted with a tattoo. It was a tattoo of a flying dragon curled around a word.

Se7en?

Yunho narrowed his eyes upon the word pattern on the man's hands. Yes, He was very sure that the word was read as 'Se7en'. Yunho would consider him as handsome if there were not those thin scars tarnishing his face in some places and Yunho was really sure that the scars were made by weapons. He wore a white suit tightly wrapped around his well built body. His eyes were covered by sunglasses. Yunho took a mental note that whoever this man was, he was definitely not an ordinary person and he definitely looked really dangerous.

The man stared at both Yunho and Changmin with a blank expression which made Yunho’s eyes narrow warily. He crooked his finger to give a signal that only his men could understand. With Changmin in his grip, Yunho can’t move quickly when four or five of the guys headed towards them, and in a short time Yunho and Changmin have been separated from each other. One guy was holding Changmin, pinning Changmin’s hands at his back and steadying his grip from Changmin’s weak struggle. The rest were holding Yunho, knowingly that he was a lot harder to handle than Changmin.

“Hyung!“ Changmin screamed in terror, looking in Yunho’s eyes and asking for help.

Yunho struggled so hard, he tried to yank his hands and free his body from those guys’ grip, but it didn’t take any effect. There were too many men a lot bigger and stronger than Yunho himself, holding his hands and gripping his shoulders to prevent him struggling any harder. He calmed himself a little bit and gave Changmin a look to calm him down.

When Changmin nodded, Yunho diverted his eyes to the man at the opposite side as his. His eyes dilated dangerously and a low growl slipped out from his mouth as he hissed, “Let him go.”

The man smiled as he walked past Yunho to sit at the bar stool that his man already prepared for him. He crossed his slim legs and put one of his elbows on the bar’s counter, taking off his glasses with the other hand.  Yunho now can see the man’s dark orbs. Those eyes were very mischievous, scheming, cruel and heartless. And by looking into those eyes, Yunho felt something evil and bad, and it sent chill down his spine.

“I see that I have an unexpected guest. Oh, what a wonderful day!” The man said, with a sly smile that never vanished from that lips; and Yunho tried his best to calm his expression. He didn’t want to look terrified in front of the man’s gaze, only looking at him with narrow eyes, as he recollected his composure, and keeping his face blank.

“Oh, I’m sorry for not treating my guest properly, but you’re… kinda not coming at a right time and I am not in a good mood for maintaining a good relationship with my guest. But well, I’m not an impolite person.” He smiled meaningfully, too sweet but also creepy in Yunho’s eyes. “Guys, what are you doing? Be good to our guest.” The man said and the guys that were holding Yunho complied, releasing him and took a step back, behind him.

After he was released, Yunho fixed his shirt, maintaining his posture before turning back to face the man who he is now eying intensely. He let him though, not bothering to respond even though the other man had already returned to his cheerful self that made Yunho feel so sick. He took a small glance to Changmin’s direction in order to make sure that he was alright. Changmin was still in his previous position, in the guy’s hold, face gleaming in a terrified look as he stared at Yunho, almost pleading.

“Ah, how could I forget to introduce myself? Please pardon me.” The man said quickly and wearing a façade apologetic mask on his smiling-but-cold face. “My name is Choi Dong Wook and welcome to my wonderful club.” He told Yunho, moving his hand around to show Yunho the interior of his club.

Yunho scoffed, lifting his face up to give a hint that he didn’t give a dime for anything else but Changmin. “I don’t care. I came for Changmin and I want you to give him back to me.” Yunho managed to say in a low tone.

“Now, now, aren’t you rude? You should introduce yourself too…” The man, Dong Wook, asked but Yunho chose not to answer and shrugged. “Oh well, I guess it’s not necessary. I won’t pretend not knowing you anymore, Mr. Lover or… Dr. Jung Yunho, to be exact.”

“What-how…” Yunho frowned hearing that the man already knew him and his relationship with Changmin. How could this man know all of this? He asked, but he kept the question only for himself.

Dong Wook looked very pleased when he acknowledged that Yunho was taken aback by the fact, making Yunho more and more hate the man. Soon he façade had a frown, furrowing his eyebrows before adding: “Didn’t our cutie Changmin tell you?”

Now what? Another question. Yunho can’t help himself of wondering how many other things will surprise him this time. He briefly turned to Changmin, who’s now looking away and eluding Yunho’s questioning face. And then he was convinced that Choi Dong Wook was the only one who could answer his own question.

“Oh well, let’s put it aside for awhile. For now I really need to know why exactly did you come and trespass my property. Not to mention that you tried to take one of my properties with you.” He asked and pointed to Changmin at his last sentence.

Yunho rolled his eyes. “Didn’t I tell you that I came to take Changmin back with me? He’s not your property by the way, and definitely not anyone’s property.”

Yunho watched Dong Wook standing up and going behind the bar to bring a wine glass and to take out a bottle of wine from the shelf. He poured himself the wine and took a sip from the glass to taste it. He looked pleased with the taste of the liquor and soon went back to his seat. His action irritated Yunho .

“That cutie over there…” Dong Wook pointed his finger to Changmin’s direction which, from Yunho’s point of view, was an insolent movement. “He owed me his father’s debt for an amount of five million won, and he always successfully ran away from my men for the past three years.” He made a short pause before continuing: “But I’m a professional and an expert for this kind of troubling matters. Even though I didn’t get him sooner, I always kept my eyes on him. I knew where he spent his days, where he worked at, who he hung out with… and of course his relationship with you.”

He told Yunho casually, not caring about the fact that Yunho was giving him his best dark look. “I just gave him time to really come to me and talk, but when he didn’t, I decided to take action. I caught him, and I was kind enough to make him an offer, to work with me and make money for me or, he has to run away forever from my chase and…” He made a circular motion with his hand with the glass was settled between his two slender fingers, making the liquid moving along with it, “…and have my way to every person that matters to him… including you.”

Dong Wook flashed him a smile, knowing that every single word he said was making Yunho wanting to jump at him and demolish that evil expressions from his face. It was clearly visible from the way Yunho tightened his fists at his sides as rage slowly but surely was burning in his eyes.

“He was so thoughtful and considerate, so you know…” he winked at Yunho, “…by worrying about every person he loved. He made my work get a bit easier by agreeing, and I was so glad that I never have to stain my hands with another dirty work.” He took a sip of wine again, before putting it on the bar next to him. Lazily, he turned around to give Yunho a smugly look. “That made him one of my valuable properties.”

“Not anymore. Didn’t he tell you that he quit and he’ll pay you the double amount of his actual debt?” Yunho felt his knuckles turn white at his efforts to hold back his anger while he spoke.

Dong Wook sighed in mockery. “That’s the problem, handsome…” Yunho winced at the way Dong Wook winked at him, giving the other men a chance to laugh at the statement. “I NEVER told him that he can quit in our agreement. And he is such a wonderful asset to me. He’s only working for approximately two weeks, but my customers’ number is increasing. They love watching him and I think they would love to do something fun with him.” Yunho watched Dong Wook walking away from his seat, stopping in front of Changmin and examining him by running his fingers against Changmin’s cheek. Changmin squirmed away under his touch. “No wonder… He’s so beautiful.”

“Bastard!!” Yunho shouted. “Don’t you dare to touch him! Changmin’s not a whore and I won’t let anyone touch him.” He snarled angrily, regretting his own consideration that this man would actually let them go in peace. His patience started to run out and he didn’t care anymore about talking, about keeping his composure, about calming himself, because the man had gone overboard by talking too much about Changmin like that. He swore that no one could ever touch his lover that way. No one!

Turning around, Dong Wook faced Yunho after taking control over Changmin with his grip. He slightly gazed Changmin’s neck with a loose and intimidating touch as if to warn Yunho that he might harm the boy. Yunho could only grit his teeth and scowl at him. He didn’t dare to even move a single step, afraid that Dong Wook would hurt Changmin as he looked at Dong Wook’s eyes which showed him nothing but a cold and sinister gaze. The smile on his mouth almost disappeared, turning to a devilish smirk hanging at the corner of his mouth.

“I tried to act nicely to you, even though you had exceeded your position by trying to snatch what’s mine, and you need to know that I am very protective on everything I consider as being mine.” He briefly paused to give Yunho his best threatening look. “And I believe that if you want something, you have to fight for it and let’s see if you could pass through my men.”

At Dong Wook’s last sentence, all of his men stepped forward, surrounding Yunho in a not too wide circle, making Yunho the center of their attention. All, except the guy who was holding Changmin, standing safely behind his boss. The situation was getting a bit dangerous for Yunho and he was aware that he can’t run away from this situation.

That Dong Wook guy was right, if he wanted to get Changmin back, he had to fight for him, and no matter what happened, he swore to himself that he won’t back away.

“No… Yunho!” Yunho heard Changmin’s scream for him. Fear clearly hinted in his voice, but Yunho couldn’t do anything about it. The only thing that he must focus on was the fact that every man surrounding him weren’t empty handed. He didn’t notice since when those guys already equipped themselves with pocket knives, bats or everything they could use to fight against Yunho. It was unfair for him since he was alone and empty handed.

Oh, he didn’t care anymore.

“Long time no see, eh?” Yunho turned around when he heard someone talking to him. The voice was familiar but he couldn’t remember at first who it was, but when he could clearly see the man, Yunho finally recognized him. Yes, Yunho clearly remembered about that ugly face, that sickening sly smirk curving on those darkened lips of the man Yunho had deceived the night he saved Changmin. “It’s too bad that we have to meet again on this lovely day, don’t you think so? I hope you still remember what I told you at our first meeting before I went off.”

Yunho peered at him dangerously, fists still tight but he didn’t say anything. He only waited, waited for them to begin. He didn’t know what to expect, only knowing that he must do his best to protect himself, and especially Changmin. And given the look of the guy’s face, they were ready to start anytime soon.

The guy with the sly smirk opened his mouth again, making Yunho’s body tensed in anticipation. “I hope you pray to God enough for your life now… It might be a possibility that we won’t let you leave here alive… But don’t worry, we will be gentle and make it less painful before we send you to death.”

On his last word, the man pounced at Yunho with a long iron ready to blow him. Yunho widened his eyes and moved faster to his right to avoid the stick touch his body. He forced his brain to think fast and coordinated with his movement when he noticed that more of the guys were ready to attack him. And soon they were joining the batter field, filling the room with loud angry snarl and creating a small chaos inside.

Yunho reacted faster, relying on his little martial skills to fight them, responding to their hits with smart dodges of his empty hands or with the strength of his kicks. He had felt the numbness spread around his hand after taking so many blows and hits, but he straightened his posture. He didn’t have time to feel the pain while more hard objects aimed to him. He kept moving and reacting faster without having to think. He was determined to give his best to this fight, and he wasn’t going to give up, not without a proper fight. And he swore to himself that those guys won’t get him easily.

Yunho was more and more hit and attacked by hard objects, making him have to give his all and defend himself well, striking everyone and kicking them in all directions. Yunho got a bit satisfied when he successfully knocked two guys off to the ground, but it didn’t last long: soon another guy trapped his body from behind with a wooden bat nicely pressed against his chest. He tried his best to free himself, struggling away from the tight grip, but he noticed that another guy was ready to attack him from the front. Thus, Yunho took the hands of the guy, which was trapping him, as a support to lift his body up and give the man in front of him a full blown kick with both of his legs right on his chest, causing the guy to stumble down on the dancing floor.

He struggled again and finally he could release himself when he elbowed the man right on his stomach, making to back away from Yunho with a painful groan.

Yunho glanced, back and forth, to every guy who encircled him, with wild looks in their eyes. He took a deep breath, drawing oxygen as much as he could into his burning lungs. He could feel that he was almost at his limit, so he took the pause as a chance to adjust himself, controlling every burn and pain that he felt all over his body.

“Yunho… Yunho… Yunho…” He turned to Changmin’s direction, noticing his desperate cries from the first time, as he struggled himself out of Dong Wook’s grip. Yunho growled.

God, how he really wanted to snatch him away from Dong Wook’s grasp.

He kept looking to Changmin’s direction, not being aware that a guy was taking advantage of his daze.

“Hyung, watch out!!” He heard Changmin screaming and suddenly Yunho realized that he was still in the middle of the fight, he turned around, but it was too late. By the time Yunho reacted, a hard wooden bat successfully landed on his head with a hard thud and another guy tackled his feet. Yunho yelped in pain falling down to the wooden floor holding his aching head. He wanted to lift his body and stand up, but he didn’t have the chance as another hit landed on his side, another kick flied to his spine, another, another and another to every part of his body until the only thing he felt was pain and a warm liquid trickling down from the spot on his head where they hit him.

(“Noooo, please, don’t hurt him, let him go… God! Let him go!!”)

Yunho now can’t do anything, anymore. He balled himself on the floor, trying to avoid their hits, and he was helpless when one of the guys lifted him up on his feet, pinning his hands behind his back, and tugged his hair to lift his face only to give another hard punch on his face and a series of heavy blows in his stomach.

(“Please stop… Yunho… please… don’t hurt him, I beg you. Nooo!”)

Yunho didn’t know how, but amidst the torture on his body, Yunho could hear Changmin. He was screaming Yunho’s name in agony, crying hard and pleading everyone to stop hurting him, choking his words with every tear that he cried out.

And when they finally stopped, Yunho gulped his saliva. His heart beating so fast, ribs hurting so bad, lungs burned in the need of air as he let out a cough of blood coming from his mouth. He heard their smug laughter, proud that they finally defeated him up until he surrendered and could do nothing else to fight again.

Yunho felt really sick. He cursed himself for his failure also cursing them for their brutality.

He forced himself to look up with his swollen eyes, passing every guy in front of him to Changmin’s direction. The love of his life… His Changmin was now kneeling down on his knees, hands still gripped by Dong Wook’s strong hold, and his pretty face flooded by endless tears.

“Yun-ho… Yunho…” He called Yunho’s name with a raspy voice, longingly giving him a look of love, and only God knows how Yunho wanted to go to him, wanting to comfort him and wipe away his tears; but he can’t.

Yunho was at his limit, his consciousness slowly leaving him, but he kept on fighting. He forced his eyes to keep open, and keeping himself aware of the situation he thrown himself into. With his blurred sight, he tried to focus on Changmin’s face, determining himself to not leaving him again even for a minute even if it was only with his gaze.

But this was before his body had been tossed carelessly on the floor, making Yunho landing on his stomach. He wasn’t sure what happened to them, too tired for even lifting his face up, but he was aware that something else was happening, another chaos starting in the club. At first, Yunho was waiting for them to do something to him again but, when it didn’t happened, curiosity beat his aching body forcing him to peer up with livid eyes.

He saw that a couple of men in uniform were already entering the club, with guns in their hands and pointing it at every Choi Dong Wook’s men, forcing them to drop their weapons down the floor. He couldn’t hear anything clearly, only growls and orders filling the room. And when he looked up again, he saw Junsu’s figure supporting Changmin and rushing to him.

And finally everything clicked in Yunho’s mind. The men in uniform were the police that he told Junsu to call if Yunho wouldn’t give him a call within an hour. And he sighed in relief.

He felt his body gently being rolled over until he was lying on his back and the sight of his lover’s teary face and also Junsu’s horrid expression were greeting him. He couldn’t clearly hear what they said as consciousness slowly left his body, sucking him into emptiness. But he wanted to convince them that he was okay by flashing them a weak smile for the last time before the only thing he could see was darkness and he was pulled into an endless abyss.

----------------------------------------------

Yunho’s eyelids fluttered open in a slow motion. The darkness surrounding him not so long ago turned into a blurry white and when his eyes regained their focus, the sight of the ceiling greeted him. He wondered where he was. The place smell like medicine and desinfectant, it’s too familiar in Yunho’s nostril. He tried to get up, but his body felt so weak and heavy to support himself. He felt pain struck all over his body and his head aching in a major dizziness.

He rubbed his head to soothe the pain as he glanced around and noticed that he was in a hospital room. He was topless, bandages covering his upper body and his forehead. Was he beaten up so badly? He sighed at the thought, but soon the worries had been washed out his mind as he thought about Changmin, and he felt a little bit panicking when there was no sight of his lover in the room.

Was he alright? He wasn’t hurt badly, right?

Yunho was in the verge of going down from his bed when the door of his room flied open to reveal his best friend’s figure.

“What are you doing?” Yoochun asked, rushing to Yunho’s side as supporting him and forcing him back to lie on his bed.

“Chun, where’s Changmin?” Yunho asked hurriedly.

Yoochun shook his head over Yunho’s question. “You should think about yourself first, you pabo!! Didn’t you realize that you look terrible?”

“Chun, please. Tell me where is Changmin. Is he okay?” He shook Yoochun’s hands, which was trying to help him lying on his bed. How could Yunho think about himself this time when the only thing that matters the most was Changmin’s well being. And he will never calm down when he was unsure about his condition.

Yoochun rolled his eyes and sighed. “He’s alright, Yunho. He’s with Junsu right now, at least his injuries are not as bad as yours.”

Yunho sighed in relief. He stopped shaking Yoochun’s arms and let his hands limply lying beside his body. He closed his eyes while registering Yoochun’s words into his brain and muttered: ‘Changmin is alright. His injuries weren’t so bad. They were okay. They were safe’, over and over again like a spell at the back of his mind.

“God, Yunho, didn’t you know how worried I was when Junsu told me everything? And the worst of all, when you have been brought here, unconscious and badly hurt, huh? Why didn’t you tell me anything? At least I could help you to make up some strategy, not so carelessly burst into a place like that, with some dangerous people in it, without any planning first.” Yoochun scolded Yunho, crossing his arms on his chest before continuing, “I can’t believe how reckless you can be. You’re lucky that you only had a few ribs fractured, a light injury at your head and bruises all over your body. What if they killed you? Don’t you know how we would feel about that? Do you think that Changmin could live without you?”

Yunho glanced at his best friend with mixed feelings. He felt a little bit agitated because Yoochun scolded him, guilty that he had caused trouble by not thinking before taking action, but very grateful that his best friend was concerned for him and his problems. And Yunho understands that it’s no use to argue with Yoochun now, because he was not in the position to contradict him.

“I know. I’m really sorry, Chun, but I-“ Yunho closed his eyes, inhaling deeply while overwhelmed by thoughts. Yoochun was right that he was so lucky being able to get out from that club alive. He never thought about any consequence of his decision to  rescue Changmin. The only thing in his mind was how to save his lover and take him out of there. And the more he thought about it, the more it gave him bad memories. The way Changmin cried so badly, pleadingly and begging them not to hurt Yunho, while the only thing that Yunho could do was only enduring every pain they had caused him when torturing him. “I don’t know. Can we please not talk about it? I’m tired and I am really glad that everything is over.”

Yunho watched Yoochun gazing at him with disbelief, but he nodded anyway when he noticed the tired look on Yunho’s face.

“Thanks, Chun.” He smiled weakly.

“Anything for you, my friend.” Yoochun returned the smile, but then he showed Yunho a look as if he remembered something. “Oh, the head of the police came an hour ago for informing us that they had caught the man, Choi Dong Wook, and some of his men. Apparently he was a suspect for drugs dealing, also some illegal transactions and he had been on the police search list for two years.” Yoochun proudly said to Yunho. “They were very thankful that they could catch him with your help, and they will send their letter of gratitude to you personally.”

“Thanks God, then…” Yunho said, can’t help himself for not grinning wider from Yoochun’s information.

And exactly at that moment, the door opened again with Changmin’s figure bursting into the room, Junsu following behind. “Yunho-hyung…” Changmin shout and rushed to Yunho’s side, making Yoochun to step aside and make him space beside Yunho.

Soon, Changmin had Yunho’s hand in his, squeezing it tightly, tears welling from his eyes.
Yoochun poked his foot lightly, giving him a signal that he and Junsu will wait outside, letting him to talk with Changmin. He smiled at them gratefully, and when the door was completely closed, he turned to Changmin.

“Are you okay?” Yunho asked to Changmin as he got up and straightened up his body. His lover’s head was bandaged like him, cheeks bruised and the split at the corner of his mouth was cover by a cut of band aid, but they still can’t hide the beauty that lied beneath.

“Stupid!! You stupid fool, stupid, stupid, stupid!!!” Changmin yelled at him, hitting him on his chest, making Yunho grimace in a light pain.

“Wow! Changmin… do you want to kill me?” Yunho asked jokingly, but instead of an answer, Changmin crushed their bodies together in a tight hug. He cried harder at Yunho’s shoulder and Yunho was touched by Changmin’s tears, feeling the love that the young boy felt for him. “Don’t cry, baby, look, I’m fine.” He wrapped his hands to Changmin’s body, pulling him even closer.

“How could you? I was so afraid-afraid that they will kill you, afraid that I will lose you on their hands… God! You don’t know-“ Yunho could feel Changmin’s tears dropping on his shoulder with every word he said, and Yunho smiled once again.

“Shh… It’s okay. I’m fine. Come on, look at me.”

Slowly Changmin pulled away, sobbing hard as he tried to wipe his endless tears only to be replaced by other drops and slowly lifting his face to look at Yunho.

“See? I’m okay, I’m alive and I’m here with you.” Yunho said, taking Changmin’s hand and brushing his lips with his palm before moving to his face and kiss away his tears.

“God… please don’t do that again, hyung! I can’t stand seeing them hurting you and every time they hit you… I felt-I felt like dying…” Changmin said again, voice hoarse because his crying and all.

Yunho kissed him briefly, this time on his lips as he said. “Don’t worry. Everything is going to be okay. None of them would ever lay their fingers on you again, on us. We are safe Changmin, you are safe.” He told Changmin with an emphasis on his every word as if he wanted to assure Changmin that nothing would hurt them anymore.

Changmin nodded this time but he looked a bit down.

“I’m sorry.”

“Huh? For what Changmin?” Yunho asked softly, confused on why Changmin was apologizing.

“For involving you into this and even got you hurt badly.”

“Hey…” Yunho lifted Changmin’s face by his chin and gave him a gentle look. “How many times should I say that I’m fine? You don’t need to apologize, sweetheart, I promised to myself that I would protect you no matter what and I am really glad that this time I could make it. I would rather see myself lying here on this bed instead of you, because I wouldn’t forgive myself if I would let you get hurt.”

“But-“ Yunho suddenly kissed him, swallowing every word Changmin had to argue with him.

“No ‘buts’.” He said sternly after breaking the kiss and deeply looking into Changmin’s brown orbs. “Listen to me Changmin. Let’s forget about today with its every bad memory and move on. We still have our life ahead and future to be focus on together. I just want you to know that you have me. That you’re not alone and you could share everything to me. I don’t know what fate would lead us later, but there’s one thing I am really sure, that I’m not going or planning to leave you anytime soon, and you could have me in any way you like.”

Changmin kept silent while biting his lower lips as if in a deep thought. And after a moment like an eternity, the boy finally nodded his head, once again wiping his tears before giving Yunho a sweet smile which Yunho gladly returned.

They engaged themselves in a tight embrace one more time, exchanging love and affectionate touches by their hands to each other’s body until Yunho pulled apart.

“Min, I want you to do something for me.”

“Hmm… what is it, hyung?”

“Move in to my apartment.”

“Huh?” Changmin stared at him, doubt written all over his face.

“I’m serious, Min. I want you to move in with me.”

Suddenly Changmin smiled brightly, eyes mismatched in happiness. “Okay.”
