Suddenly, the smile that you hadn’t seen almost for four years was presented in front of you after the door was opened. Your eyes widened. The smile was bright and genuine on his lush lips as he stared at you, seemingly satisfied at the surprised look that obviously portrayed in your face.

He said “hi” as a form of greeting, his grin never faded away.

Four years, you thought. Four years with miles away separated you from Yunho while longing and yearning haunted every step that you had taken and accompanied every time that you had spent, and you can’t believe that the fine man who stood in front of you was Yunho. Jung Yunho, your best friend and also the love of your life. The man who always sent you mail every once in a month filled with stories and pictures. The man who always called you in his free times and talked to you for hours despite the communication expenses that he must paid for international calls. And you forgot to breathe for a moment as you observed him, trailing your eyes on his face; from his almond shaped eyes, down to his sculpted nose, to a pair of full lips and to his strong and defined jaw. You can’t help yourself when your eyes were taking a glance to his broad shoulders, to his arms where muscles visible against his leather jacket and to his long legs which perfectly supported his lean body.

God, you forgot how gorgeous Yunho was.

The man who stood proudly in front of boeing-747 airplane inside a picture that he sent you months ago was nothing compared to the real Jung Yunho whose presence was like a dream that you always had. He was so touchable in every detail and also very real in every way, not a shadow or tiny bit imagination that you created whenever the longing became too much.

When you caught him giggling and saw amusement set in his eyes at the way you tried to form words but failled miserably, you laughed. It was shy at first, because, for God’s sake it was embarassing, but then it became louder and sort of hysterical on your part as if you had never felt so happy and relieved the way his presence ever gave you.

Four years were enough and you didn’t need any more time to wait and pull him into a crushing hug, pressing the both bodies together and you had your arms enveloped him as you made sure that the one that you were hugging right there was the real Yunho.

You closed your eyes as if trying to cherish this moment in your heart. You asked him when he got back from California, even caling him a bastard. But your action spoke louder than your words. It was obvious that you had been missing him very much. So you clutched onto him, holding onto him tighter, feeling too reluctant to let him go.

You can feel Yunho’s smile against your neck, a warm gush of air from his breath ghosting the skin enough to give shiver down to your spine and your heart raced wildly inside your chest. Even though four years had been spent loosely, but Yunho still had the same effect on you. Only his presence was enough to bring you back to a wonderful life, causing you to fall deeper all over again inside the heaven of love.

He pulled apart from your tight hug and smiled softly. He told you that you can save all the questions later and that he had somewhere to take you to.

You blinked, curiosity took over you and you were wondering what it was all about.
Yunho merely smiled assuringly and grabbed you by wrist. You didn’t have any choice but to follow him, not even asking when he hailed a taxi and told you to go inside.

You were frowning when the taxi took the road outside of the town, glancing from time to time at Yunho who had a never ending smile displayed on his face in confusion. Oh well, you pushed the thought of your head and just waited.

One hour and a half later, you found yourself inside a small airport, following Yunho with a big question plaguing your mind from the entire trip as he led you towards the big hangar outside while passing a row of airplanes with various sized lined on the apron.

You raised an eyebrow, finally asking him the reason why you both were there and not basking yourself in stories at your first reunion after four years.

I’m keeping my promise, Changmin.

Your protest left unspoken the moment Yunho opted to let go of your hand and run inside the small room which looked like the controlling room at the rear end of the hangar. His light steps tapped the cement floor of the hangar and echoing through the entire structure of the building.

You sighed. You had no idea of what Yunho had in mind, but you decided to wait. You walked around, pleasuring yourself to admire all the planes parked inside the hangar, touching the steel of its fuselage and feeling so amazed by how big and tall they were comparing to your size. And somehow you found yourself walked around more, examining every detail and every shape of the airplanes with a big interest while using your brain to recognize every type of plane that you had ever seen on television or on your books and comparing them to the real one.

You had so much fun, walking here and there as you watched the iron bird in awe until Yunho returned and took your attention fully.

Let’s go.

He said, heading outside the hangar with a key safely gripped in his hand. You followed suit behind, noticing that Yunho was walking towards the apron, to the direction of one of the small planes with the low wings under the fuselage.

You stopped walking meters away from Yunho’s standing position beside the plane, realizing what Yunho was planning to do.

Are you serious?

You yelled, expression delighted with excitement as you watched Yunho sending you a triumphant look on his face, not even a single hint of hesitation in his expression.

This is how i keep my promise, Min.

You kept watching him, uncapable of deciphering the meaning behind those words. But then his next words enlightened you.

You haven’t forgotten, have you? The words written on the paper plane that I gave you when I sent you away on that bus station. Now I want to make it true.

Your body stilled. The way so many thoughts and memories rushed into your head made you so dizzy. Of course you still remembered. That sunny day, the bus station, the tears as you watched him standing while the bus drifted away, the paper plane and the promise written on a rumpled paper. You can still remember every word on it, it was carved in your heart as if you read it only yesterday.

Your heart started to race again, not quite believing that the time had finally come. The time when Yunho would be able to take you along in his greatest obsession and it thrilled you to the fullest.

Min, what are you waiting for? Come on, we have a flight to catch on!

He winked and your laughter followed as you speed forward to Yunho who held the door of the plane opened for you. But instead of hopping inside, you reached for him and kissed him square in the mouth. Softly and tenderly, as if you were trying to convey every feeling that you had been holding back for so long. It was your way of confessing and nothing could ever describe the way your heart burst a thousand colors of rainbow the moment he wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed you back.

You could say that It was the best day of your life.
