Just stuff...

I decided that to be afraid of death, you have to have a reason to live...

but on another note (the real one that this post was for...), you heard about that woman who married the eiffel tower? Her name is now Erika La Tour Eiffel. And the first time I heard about this, I'll admit I was like "What... the..." and I was kind of wondering why someone would want to marry a building. But I think I've figured it out. It's loneliness. Not that she's so lonely she just wants to say she's married, just that a building is something she can control, instead of her being controlled. She's lonely because in the past, she's been left, and a building is something she can rely on.
In relationships, when you have nowhere to go, you can always go to your partner and they'll protect you.
But how reliable are people? Any moment they can change their mind and fall in love with someone else.
Especially when you're getting old and people have only let you down in the end, your faith in a person's ability to be there for you is pretty low, but a building... it stays the same.
When you control a building, you can leave it for decades, and when you return it'll be waiting for you in the exact position you left it.
The difference between her and others is that in a way, she's giving up.
I think it's not that she's absolutely in love with the architectury or the building, just that she wants something reliable in her life.

sad, lonely, love
