♥2 - Masquerade

I keep hearing about this masquerade. I kind of want to go to it, but I don't have a pretty dress or a pretty mask. I should be worrying about a place to stay. Maybe I'll be allowed to stay in that mansion. It looks like it has lots of rooms...but, I doubt they want a child in the way

I don't think anyone's going to stop you from staying in the mansion. From what I've come to understand all you have to do is find a room that's empty and it's yours. That's what I did, anyway. It hasn't eaten me or anything yet. >_>

HONTO!? We can just...go in...and take a room? Really? Really really? Then, I heard that in that closet is a dress and a mask! So I can go to the masquerade!

Yeah, I just found a room and kind of planted myself in it. And I've heard that the closets are providing us with party clothes, but I haven't checked for mine yet. I guess I should do that....

There are a LOT of rooms, so there should be plenty of them for you to choose from!

I'll go to the mansion now! Then when I find Tohma-kun, I'll tell him! Or...should I tell Tohma-kun first then find a room?

[knocks on the door]

[The door opens, revealing Aya in a plain white t-shirt, jeans, and white socks.]

Hey there. Chika, right? Come on in.

[The room is fairly spartan, looking rather like a room in a dormitory or barracks, save for the immense number of pictures and photographs of various exotic locations pinned to the walls. A gun in a shoulder harness is draped over the back of one of the chairs.]

[The young girl can't help but stare at the gun, but eventually she looks away.]

Yes, I am Chika. Nice to meet you, Aya-chan~

[Aya follows Chika's gaze after a moment and hastily stashes the holster under the bed.]

[Aya sits on the edge of the bed.]

New York is in America, right?

Yokohama...that's in Japan, isn't it? My mother was from Japan!

My parents...are both Japanese....

I haven't seen my dad in 10 years though...
