(no subject)
I spent the last three hours at the DMV and now I have a headache from the babies screaming and easy listening music they play there.
Of course, the fuckers are giving me the shaft and I'll have to go get my Vespa inspected by the CHP even though the DMV already inspected it and then I can go back to the DMV and they'll give me a title and registration/plates etc. I was hoping to keep the original black and yellow plates on it but they won't let me because I can't prove that they were original to the bike with a registration or some paper work. Also, because the motor was once in another bike (they know 'cause of the engine #) they want to attach their own ID numbers to the bike and engine and assign them California IDs. I don't really like this much. I was gonna restore this thing and now it's gonna be just a little less original. What the fuck is wrong with the numbers that are already there?
It has crossed my mind that I could just take it back to Arizona and take care of it there more easily. Transporting it sounds like a PITA though.
I'm just gonna let them do whatever, I guess. I suppose that once I have it titled and tagged I can rip off their tags if I want. I dunno.
