I'm going with my mother to Los Angeles tomorrow to find out the results of a muscle biopsy she had last year. This will have been the second one she's had and gotten results for. The first was inconclusive save for the fact that the cells in her muscle were smaller than normal, but other than that, nothing was diagnosed. The difference with the doctor we are going to see is that he is "the best of the best..." or rather, the end of the line. He supposedly trained the guy who founded the Chiari Institute, so mum has faith in the old guy. Still, as with most doctors I've seen, I don't trust him yet. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

On another note, and something I forgot to write about in my last entry, I got my right ear pierced the day after Christmas. I had almost got one when my sister had her ears pierced back in April, but I was actually only going to do it back then because she wanted me to, not for myself. This time is was a personal choice, and I was fine with getting it done. It's a barbell, a few times larger than the average earing post. Mum keeps teasing me about it being "boyish," but I've always been that way. My dad had a big influence on me as a kid, so I turned out to be a tomboy with a liberal personality. Which is most likely the reason I've never had a genuine boyfriend...all the guys I've ever known have seen me as just that, one of the guys. Not a problem for me, of course. I like dressing against society's views...it's fun to visually mess with uptight individuals.

Have a Kloteck concept sketch.
