I talked to somebody vaguely famous today! Actor Chris Murray is visiting Camden because his mom, Hope Lange, starred in Peyton Place which was filmed in Camden in the 1950s. She really liked the area, but he had never visited nor even seen Peyton Place until recently. I found out about him through the manager of the hotel he's staying at, and talked to him for about an hour. He's acted with all sorts of big name people, and currently has a role in Zoey 101. It was just a totally random interview that I would never have known about otherwise and made what ought to have been a dull, meaningless Friday into a pretty cool day. Of course, I got barely anything done at the office and so used the last few of my 40 hours with this interview and typing up the notes from it, but I don't mind spending extra time next week finishing things up if it means entering this weekend on a good note.
And to top it off, it's snowing a lovely little storm that isn't accumulating much or causing bad roads, just falling down and making the indoors seem cozy and the outdoors a little more exciting.
