Oh Johnny, Johnny, Johnny...YOU'RE BREAKING MY HEART! To go over to the dark side and still have the nerve to build your home across the water from me is just too much to handle on this cold December morning.
Well, you see, I'm a New Englander who is loyal to this fabulous baseball team called the Red Sox. This means I absolutely detest this other team based out of New York City called *shudder* the Yankees. The Red Sox HAD this one player named Johnny Damon who was fairly good at what he did besides having really nice looking hair and was very charismatic about being on the team. He had a huge fan base. Well, Red Sox fans everywhere found out this morning that Johnny Damon accepted a 52 million, 4-year contract with the Yankees, meaning he declined a paltry 40 mil contract with the Red Sox. So, for 12 million more, he's signed up with the very team of which the Red Sox are the most rivaled against! It's shocking and terrifying and disappointing and I can no longer call him my hero. To make matters worse, he's building a house on the peninsula across from the one I live on (hence the "across the water" reference in the post), which can be seen from the area I live in.
