I have just cautiously peeked at the world of immigration and visas and have quickly shut the door in fear. I've never seen so much paperwork and potential red tape. Even to have Tim come here on a fiance visa, we'd have to get married in 90 days and then have him apply for permanent residency, both of which can take up to 7 months or longer depending on which state immigration bureau we file with. This is the recommended path, though, to help with what I mentioned in my last post about having to defend our decision to marry as due to true love rather than Tim really wanting to work in America.
What a load of pain in the arse.
