Hooooray!
Well....whaddya know...I just got offered a temp job from that agency I signed up with that may last 5-6 weeks! Sure, the pay is only 7.50 pounds an hour, but it's certainly better than nothing. Which is what I'm getting now. And in dollars, that equals something around $12 or $13.
If the one in charge there likes my resume (which the person at the temp agency said she'd send over this afternoon), I'll be working at a publishing company just outside Oxford as an administrative assistant for their scientific journals publication division. So, not a job I want to keep for much longer than 6 weeks, but if the company likes me and has a job available that I might like a bit better, than it all could turn into something more permanent.
Even better, this means Tim and I can visit home in the fall! Woohoo! And I can get a new cell phone! And a haircut!
