The typical first-day biology work-sheet included the question, "What are your hobbies"? There was nothing I could write. There is nothing unique about my extracurricular activities and interests. I read sometimes. I write sometimes. I listen to French Canadian radio. I listen to an
average of 67 songs per day. I play around on the piano, but

Also also....67 songs a day????? Come ON. Are there even enough hours in the day to get that many songs in? I don't think I even have that many songs on my iPod total (okay, tiny exagerration). You're a MACHINE.

Actually, it's probably more like 150-200 songs a day (depending on how many podcasts and audiobooks I listen to), but the daily number is calculated by dividing the number of days I've had my account from the overall total of songs I've listened to. There are about 9 hours a day to get songs in, because my job would be unbearable without my headphones.
How many songs would you say you listen to of a day?

In the day-to-day, zero songs (hard to listen to music and doctors dictating too). Back when I worked in the warehouse I was like you -- couldn't possibly get through the day without headphones on constantly. Weekends at the hospital I listen to Dan on the drive in Friday night, then some random shuffling while I work, which amounts to maybe 6-7 songs? I know, I suck. But remember I've got only a 2 gig Nano here so I'm plenty sick of what's on there. Maybe if I had an 80 gig jobbie where I could stick my whole library on it would be a different story. Or if I could stream Pandora on my phone without draining the battery in an hour.

Well I figured you couldn't listen to much music during work, but I thought you might've needed it to get through gym time. Mindless exercise - basically the same as working at a warehouse (or a shop called Diamond Pistons), right? Or maybe you've been too sick to go to the gym. Or maybe you've thought, why bother, simply not eating is doing the job for me, in which case yay anorexia.
I've got the iPod shuffle (because of the high likeliness of me dropping my phone if it's anywhere near me when I'm standing on cement) and I have to change the songs every DAY to keep from getting bored of it.

Sure, when I went to the gym my iPod was more essential than my water bottle. The gym. Haha. Yeeeaaah. I've sort of given up on it. I'm still sick right now, my membership expires next month, and honestly $200 to renew it would be better off going towards my medical bills. Plus I kinda love the freedom of finishing work and being able to relax without feeling guilty about not going.
Also that anorexia thing you said.
