Oh boy. That left me with a sick stomach. We just have to remember that not all people that believe in God send their children off to Jesus Camp. Probably 99.9% or more would never consider such a thing.
yeah seriously... you and i believe similar things. like about Jesus and stuff. do you ever fear that you'll be confused with wack "christianazis" like the Jesus camp people? it's like if we claim Jesus to be *signifigant* to *any* degree, we're automatically branded. and... if even remotely hint that Jesus could also be Christ, then you're a holy-roller! i don't know... maybe it's just me?
Yes. Absolutely, but I tolerate Atheist after Atheist telling me why they don't believe in God, I don't even say anything to them anymore because after listening to them for an hour and then saying, "have you ever thought about this?" I am an ignorant asshole that is judging them and on top of that I am stupid for believing in God. I never talk about it unless a person asks and when they do I am terrified to answer, usually they ask after telling me 5 jokes about Jesus getting ass raped. But anything I say is narrowminded and judgemental. I am treated like the Jesus Camp people.
it's sad we're equated/associated/stereotyped with the Jesus camp (and the christian-right for that matter) isn't it? it's sort of like the way the conservative republicans stereotype people of middle-eastern descent. it's like they are automatically a terrorist (or a 7-11 employee?). because i associate with the teachings of Jesus and, beyond that, consider myself to a degree to be a "Christian", then i am automatically a holy-rolling, bible-thumping, piss-my-pants-for-Jesus, freakshow...
and really most so-called "christians" don't actually consider me a Christian at all because of my "wacked-out" theology.
