I'm a little torn...but mainly because there are so many dimesions to this issue. I mean, there has not been anything firmly in place, ever. And now they want to seemingly go extremely one way or the other...either give everyone immunity or make them all felons

I think, as a follower of Christ and citizen of a country founded by immigrants, that our policies should be as inclusive as possible, without allowing blatant abuse of our kindness. What that might look like is quite complicated. But, I do think the immigration problem is a symptom of a deeper issue, namely, that many of us "real Americans" have succumbed to a self-centered view of the world, which sees the rest of the world as an inconvenience to our comfortable existence... it's a bit of a generalization, I know, but let's face it, immigrants wouldn't be coming here if the entire world didn't view America as the "land of opportunity".
