uni madness

So today was one of the days when it's all grey and a bit rainy and you've got the wrong shoes on and everything is just inconvenient and depressing. But then something happens that cheers you up for the randomest reason.

I was having lunch with my friend Abbie and her boyfriend Ben and afterwards we decided to go into the waterstone's bookstore on campus to check out the new developmental psychology book we were going to get.

So we walk in and it's like one of those cartoons where there are tens of buckets on the floor because the ceiling is leaking. And it was indeed leaking in Waterstone's - which was weird mainly because it is on the ground floor of the two story building that is our student's union! O_O

Then as we were skimming through the psychology book a part of the ceiling just came crashing down (not on us though, luckily), and the water was leaking through at such a rate that the ceiling tiles were dropping like flies.

So we just had to go upstairs to the K2 hall in which they usually host parties and such and what do you know, it was flooded. All we could see was people wading in and out pushing water out emergency exits with brushes and someone just hauled in a water pump. It was rather amusing and entertaining if not a bit odd..
