Finals Loom
Close your eyes. Imagine yourself in your school's library right before finals start. Now imagine that you're naked. And carrying a blow-up plastic sheep. That was me today.
And no, I am not talking about a variation on your standard "Oh, shit I'm naked" dream. This was in real life.
Today I participated in the biannual tradition of Oberlin students running naked through Mudd the last day of reading period. It is remarkably easier to strip in front of a bunch of strangers and also friends the second time around. For anyone who goes to Oberlin, you have to try the naked run. It is the best study break ever! There is something so freeing about appearing in public naked. The situation is just so bizarre and funny that you cannot help but be amused. Plus, there is the exhilaration of running around 3 floors and up and down flights of stairs. Two boys actually got creative this year and repelled down one floor. It just seemed very uncomfortable to me, but I gotta admit that is remarkably daring.
That was definitely the most fun I had today. I was a the science center for 13 1/2 hours today, minus two short breaks for meals. I actually surpassed my total of 12 hours yesterday. I am tired. I was finally forced to stop studying because my brain simply quit working. Ah, for high school when studying meant glancing at my notes for 15 minutes before the test. Tomorrow finals start, and I am actually really glad. I can finally be done with a class instead of endlessly studying and studying.
