Still Moving

We carted a bunch more stuff over to the new place last night (and a whole bunch last weekend). Essentially, it's a good bet that my free time involves either eating, sleeping, packing, or unpacking.

Hey, BTW, what do you think? Should we leave our china hutch in place to stage the old house, or move it to the new place so that the old house looks roomier?

It looks classy enough, but it doesn't fit in the dining room, and I think leaving it in the living room (where it is now) might add clutter more than class.

We're still trying to empty the basement to facilitate some work on the floor this weekend. It's not very exciting, though, because that means that most of the old house looks the same no matter how much we move.

Moving furniture is on hold until we determine which things are staying to stage the house and which aren't. If we get to the point of actually having enough stuff ready to move that we could benefit from the help of others, I'll let you know.

The gutters on the old house will be replaced today; it will be good to cross that off our list. My parents will be in town this weekend to see the new place and quietly celebrate my birthday. We might also cart over a chair or two in the back of their Highlander. I'm excited about moving some chairs, as much for getting them out of the way as for being able to sit on them.
