Dream: God-Trees from Outer Space
Monday, August 28th:
A squad of Army special forces soldiers trained in a new method of running. Staggering their steps against the syncopation of automatic weapons' fire, they became almost impossible to hit, moving whenever the bullets left the chamber. One of them tested the technique against a flying drone in the woods.
The Faerie Lords were dying; humanity's shepherds had to be replaced again, just as, millennia ago, the Fey had replaced the Eleven (alien trees responsible for modern flora, since roots were obviously not evolved on Earth). The spirits of the Eleven returned to guide us as we sought a new set of mysterious protectors.
