* I have a new car. Yay!
* I've sprayed the yard in hopes of forestalling our first crop of dandelions, culling them back to a manageable level.
* Our pump is back in the pond and everything is burbling happily. I should have done it about a month ago, though; I had to haul out some pond scum before I could set up the pump.
* Pond scum is every bit as gross as you think. It is like a cross between cellophane, molasses, and hair.
* I just picked up Alyssa's family from the airport this afternoon. They're in town for a few days. Alyssa's grandpa came as well; it's great that he gets to see the house and that we have enough beds to go around. Hooray for Alyssa the dealhound and the $10 futon!
